Was out scouting geese tonight and saw 400-500 birds in our best field. This should have been going on 3 weeks ago. And now there are about 1500-2000 mallards on the river and near town. I hate it when we get the late freeze up.

I stopped counting swans at 150 on Ida today and another 200 in town.

Time to start making sticks and jerky.
