croixflats
If Farve comes here chances are the vikes go up for sale after he failes to deliver, and he will. Verry huge chance they end up somewhere else, money talks.

croixflats
I have to apologize. Favre will fail at his own demise but he will have help. The coaching of Childress will be the ultimate demise of this team and I have sympathy for Favre in a way but only to be disgusted by his arrogance to overcome a stupid head coach. Wade Joseph
Oh how right you are finally Flats....I will CERTAINLY be using that montra. As I said, you can be driven and succeed with heart, but motivation for the sole purpose of veangance will not win a superbowl.I adored the way Brett played the game when he wore the green and gold, He was surely one of the greats even with "most interceptions" as one of his many records. I cheered him, and applauded him, that is until the retirement circus started. He is as much to blame for that as Thompson is....hang up the helmet Brett. Your day in the sun has past. At the very best, he garners the Vikes two wins against the Pack, but that light some of you see at the end of the tunnel with him is not the superbowl, but that of an oncoming train. Very well said Wade. Nice to hear a Cheesehead with a good head LOL. You're right though, Brett has just as much blame as Thompson does. I can see how Thompson was frustrated with him and did what he did.
Scott K
The Minneapolis Star-Tribune reports that free agent Brett Favre is willing to undergo a "minor" procedure on his torn right biceps tendon that would allow him to play football this season.Favre is reportedly "anxious" to sign with Minnesota and prepared to get the arm fixed. Surgeons would cut the tendon and the rehab period "would be quick." Favre and Brad Childress will continue their meetings today in Hattiesburg. We're expecting a resolution by early next week at the latest.Source: Minneapolis Star TribuneRelated: Vikings

Born2Fish
LOL that was a funny show this morning! I really can't see how much worse the guy can do with our team. And I will say this, if he WERE still a Packer, all of us Vikings fans would still hate the guy and all of the cheeseheads would still LOVE him. I find if funny that as soon as it's close to signing him, of all the hate of Brett Favre that has came out. As soon as he is to become a Viking its, Oh he only has ONE superbowl win. He has ALL those interceptions. He is old. He can't do it. Etc Etc Etc....Fact of the matter is, he is better than anything we have on our team right now. He is a future hall of famer. He loves to play football. What more can you ask from the guy? To play with heart? I think he has shown that more than enough. Don't throw as many interceptions? Did I mention that he really loves to play football? He is a gunslinger. We KNEW about those interceptions a LONG time ago.

PierBridge
Lets face it this really really bugs Packer Fans. You can always tell when they're mad when we start hearing the same Ole same Ole talking points "gibberish" like "well your not going to win the Super Bowl like we did with Favre" and other overly redundant material.Wow way to go out on limb and predict the Vikings won't win the Super Bowl like 99 percent of all teams manage to do every year! How about this one the New England Patriots won't win the Super Bowl this year..."shocking"Go Favre and too bad Haters!...LOL
Danube D
My two favorite people in the world to watch compete are/were Larry Bird and Brett Favre. It was sad to watch Larry at the end when wanted to but couldn't. Favre on the other hand, when he wanted to last year, could. Can he still? You bet. As a Packer fan, this sucks. If Favre does well, the Vikings are going to win, alot. If Favre doesn't play well, the bandwagon nation of purple pride will tar and feather him with no remorse. My only question...can you cheer the pass and boo the completion? Scott K
Coach Brad Childress was spotted at the Vikings' Winter Park facility at 7AM Thursday morning, indicating that he may never have visited free agent Brett Favre in Mississippi Wednesday. This is getting bizarre. Multiple outlets reported that Favre and Chilly dined late Wednesday and would continue talks Thursday. A signing remains fairly likely, but perhaps the two won't meet until later Thursday or Friday. Source: Minneapolis Star Tribune Related: Vikings See it is just a smoke screen! Scott K
He has to be good, look at his career #'s, look he is going to be a hall of famer, he even won a super bowl, heck ya him and Favre, or any old time proven QB, that is a HoF'er should be great
Steve Foss
Is George Blanda still alive? He's probably in a walker, but with a good enough O-line and a bit of Viagara you Queens might find a QB with enough stuff to get you back to the Super Bowl. Winning it? Welllllll . . . maybe you ought to leave that to the teams who know how.
collegepaul
Hey, don't forget about 38 y.o. Kurt Warner....talk about a complete washout who needs to hang-up the cleats and let the young guy take over! The old guy has a broken hip and he's still playing. I feel sorry for all of those Cardinal players having to carry him all the way to the Superbowl.
