Kubel

Kubel hits for the cycle tonight!! What a game. Bullpen was terrible, but the bats came alive. Twins score 7 runs in the 8th inning when they were down 9-4.

about time, they've been terrible after 5 or 6 innings the last few games and tonight the bats got it rolling at the end! Fun win for the Twins!

It's worse than last year...did the Twins just pick-up an arm yesterday or something. Saw the last 2 innings last night and after the game they showed Gardy down in the bullpen talking to someone throwing...?

WHAT! THEY WON!!!!???? Your kidding me! I shut the tv off and went to sleep after the bullpens performance in the 7th and it was 9-4. I haven't heard "booing" from the fans like that for Crane since Ron Davis use to pitch for the Twins!

Way to go Kubes!

A new addition to the "Twins Classic games" on FSN!

Twins cut Humber. He has to clear waivors before he can report to AAA. Twins picked up another pitcher, I believe from Colorado, can't remeber the name though.

I shut it off in the 7th last night thinking they were toast. Then a few minutes ago I checked the Twins HSOforum and just about fell out of my chair! Way to go Kubel. Much better player than Cuddyer, why not lock him in? Bullpen is a disaster though. If the Twins want to contend they'll have to do much better.

I watched the last 3 innings and it was a fun game. It will be tough for Kubel to top this game individually. I knew he had the 1B,2B,3B so when he nailed that one I thought, hey hes the third player to hit for the cycle already.

OF should be Kubel, Span and Cuddyer- left to right. Gomez should be sent down

Kubel is still hot. He is smoking the ball tonight too. I bet the baseball looks like a big beachball to him right now.

You would lose too much defensively with Kubes in there. A spot start every week or so would be fine, but every day would come back to bite them in the arssse. He sure is strokin though!!

I don't think he is a step down from Delmon out in the OF. They are about even, maybe even Kubel is a tad better than Delmon. I have never seen Kubel misplay a ball so bad it had me scratching my head- Delmon has given me a small bald spot on the other hand

haha no... If Kubel loses 25 pounds but anyway he is where he should be. We don't need him out there playing defense, we have the right guys out there playing good defense except for the shaky Delmon Young.

kubel is 8 for 10 in this series. he had a great year last year, now he is showing why he is our DH.

His knees are better off staying on the bench and being our DH. He can flat out hit the ball. What an amazing two games for him.

Only if 0-4 is good. Your book maybe, not most peoples.

    • First off, the comment I made which you replied to with a hypothesis never stated that there was proof they did anything wrong. I merely and accurately stated that there was a chance they did some of the same things and it appears that may be the case.   You said plainly that VW could have chosen the Daimler tech but chose not to. In the end doing so may very well have found them in the same boat.
    • Haula is probably going to see a lot of playing time so I don't doubt he will have some nice years, kind of like how Brodziak scored 20 playing as our first line center. I like Schroeder as first call up or emergency player but he just can't consistently bring it in the NHL, that is no crime because when he gets hot he is fun to watch but he just can't stay there.
    • That's some good info, Thanks.
    •   I think they're shut down, too.  Smells like no money and more welfare...
    •   Not sure if their still producing cardboard up at that plant anymore?
    • Now Haula and Tuch will have career seasons next year.  Haula is the odds on favorite to win the Ross trophy and Tuch should have a couple Norris' in the next 5 years.     Sounds like Wild might not bring Schroeder back either.  I really hope they are contenders for a strong center or a really nice goal scorer.
    • Good point about the center support.  I wandered out to my ground blind on one of the last days of archery season to find the roof caved in and two poles busted.
    • MMmmm Cloquet....   Smells like money.
    • I am a little concerned with it fading but it needs to be left up for the deer to get accustomed to it so no way around that.   I assume the sun is the main culprit in fading so I'll do my best to protect against that.  One spot I'm considering is tucked into some pines which create a lot of shade, brushing it in heavily should also help keep it out of direct sun as well.   Good point about a center support to help with the snow.  I'll make sure to add something.
    • interesting? oh its raining here too!!!!!!!!!!!
