Random Hobbies?

Good Lord, only 1 guy reads books?!?!?!?! Scary.

We bought an old house, so guess what my continuing hobby is - remodeling. One project ends, another one is staring you in the face.

Also, like Ray Esboldt, I am self taught on the guitar, and enjoy firing up the Fender and torquing off the neighbors once in a while.

bbqhead, there are tons of sites to teach you to play guitar. i taught myself with a grateful dead book. (pre internet)

This is gonna sound terrible, but one of my hobbies is working, I like to work? Odd duck I guess?

But, when I'm not working, I really enjoy writing...I've been writing for the last 30 years. One book and a bunch of magazine articles...everything from FFG to Ring Magazine. Now I just do it to relax....I enjoy writing, reading also. Thats probably one of the reasons I've hung around this site so long, gives me a medium.

I like crosswords, scopin out the ladies (I bark, I don't bite, married), I like watching UFC and WEC matches, baseball and golf when Tiger is playing.

Oh, I like going to the casino? Not for very long though...a couple of hours and I'm ready to go, win, lose, or draw.

In the past, I had all kinds of things I liked to do, but as you get older, things change....alot! The fellas you used to hunt with go in different directions, I used to love bow hunting deer and grouse hunting, but everyone I hunted with kinda got out of Dodge?

I had fellas I used to work out with, used to hit the gym at least 3 times a week, used to run all the time, ran in alot of different 10k and 5k races....St. Paddy's, Get In Gear, Whiz bang Days, a bunch of em...in a very long ago father child race, my little daughter and I out ran Twins pitcher Frank Viola and his kid....of course his kid was 4 and mine was 11! But thats beside the point. The people I used to run with, lost interest and moved on to something else.

Computers took some, injuries, drugs, prison, death, alcohol, age, other interests....you name it. Some people age physically and mentally, faster then others and when they do, things change. Time is another factor...it seems like there is never enough time to get everything done? My home gym went bye bye about 4 years ago, injuries and not enough time? One good thing, I always find time to read and write.

I enjoy lifting weights. The feeling of knowing that im going to be able beat kids 2 years older than me in football makes me want more and the natural high you get cant be beat.

In addition to hunting fishing, I enjoy doing yardwork, home improvement in general, play softball, golf (alot), oh yeah and work....

I used to collect Hot Wheels. Back in my single, child-free days. Have sold them all and did pretty well a few years ago when I sold them. Couldn't collect them now, kids have a tendency to open packages up.
