I think x-raps are the best multi-pupose bait ever made. I've caught everything on them from sunnies to a 40" muskie and even a 35lb blue cat. I've also been in the boat when the 2nd largest sheephead in MI was caught on an X-rap. The only thing I haven't caught on an x-rap happens to be an eye. That will change this year however. I personally think husky jerk-baits work better for eyes. Just my opinion.

Does anyone know how deep that Rapala Minnow Rap runs...say 100' back on 10/4 Fireline? I've got a couple in my box and never used them. I think they're the #9 as they look to be about 3 1/2" long. I know...I need to get the latest edition of Precision Trolling.

I asked the same question a couple weeks back but with mono and somone chimed in and said that the dive curves are similar to a #7 SHADRAP.

MR-9 is just over 11'

MR-7 is about 10.5'

Tail dancer works great in and around rivers, just get the right depth!

I pull husky jerk or smithwick rattlin rogue's in the suspending models. But, if not working better get closer to the bottom, but at night they shine. Example. Cass Lake...nothing on my suspending models, ran the run 3x shutout, went to a diving model and bingo had a dozen walleyes in the next 3 runs. Why they wouldn't lift their bellies off bottom I don't know, trial and error and with gps you can run your run over and over.
