Favorite Plastics

Going shopping for bass lures and want some ideas. What are all your favorite plastics, rigged which way. For largemouths in shallow water to be specific. Mine would have to be gulps 10" turtle back worm texas rigged.

Weightless stick worms or flukes texas rigged. Stick worms wacky can be great as well!

For shallow flipping I like all sizes of brush hogs and beavers. A weightless or wacky rigged senko. A split shot rigged berkely power craw. On the river a dropshot with a powerminnow type bait rigged 4-8" up. Flukes wieghtless. Texas rigged horny toad.

Wacky senko, strike king bleeding tube texas rigged, and strike king rage tails on a jig or top water in slop are my 3 favorite plastics.

For largemouth most days I could get by with zoom finesse and trick worms which I use weightless, on jigworms, and on drop and split shot rigs. Also horny toads for pads, and a brushhog or lizard texas rigged too.

Zoom trick worms are the bomb. You can rig them any way you can imagine, there is no wrong way to fish these worms, and they all catch fish. My favorite way is to wacky rig them on a drop shot rig. For fishing shallow cover or docks I really like to use Lake Fork craw tubes, caught tons of big fish on them last year. Those would be my 2 most productive plastics as of last season.

Gander Mtn Black magic jerk shad. Owner 4/0 hook no weight. Or a hard nose toad, same hook, no weight.

Hiya -

6" Northland Brush Hog is my favorite pitching/flipping plastic. If I want something that drops a little slower I use a Brush Beaver or a Berkley Beast. 4" Flipping Tube is hard to beat too. Or, Dip Stick/Yum Dinger type baits either wacky rigged or Texas rigged on a weighted hook... Between those baits and a 100-ct bag of 7" Power Worms for jig worming, that's about all I use for LMB...

I like using the 7.5" Original Culprit worms rigged jig worm style. I also have had good luck with Zoom Super Flukes. I usually fish those weightless with an offset hook or a keeper hook.

The original 7" Berkley Powerworm in any color. But my staples are Black, Pumpkinseed, and Junebug... Red Shad is always in the mix too. Berkley just released the exact same mold/worm in Gulp!, named the Super Worm. Should be good!

Last year I started to use the Heavy Weights 5" Fat Sinkworm, it's like a Senko or Comida but Berkley's version. It sinks like a senko and weighs about the same, but I can usually catch a few more fish per bait. Weightless texas style or wacky rigged is best. They were hard to find last year but I know Gander had some last time I stopped in.

My go to plastics are Gulp worms, Berkley power worms, Chomper craws, and Stanley Ribbit Frogs! I buy them in bulk to save!

7" Original Power Worm, by Berkley PowerBait, Texas rigged is my favorite worm.

Stickbaits (senkos) wacky rigged, gulp minnows and 4" tube are very tough to beat (IMO).

Also your forage in a lake plays a major factor as well.
