Patti
Debbie - man you were fast with that delete button..lolI already sent it to you from photobucketOn its way Debbie....And Glen, I'm adding it as my avatar so I don't have to "send picture of boat".And yes I know, its not the boat that catches the fish...My boat is just a little ol' fishing boat - nothing fancy.14ft '60 Crestliner, '63 18hp johnson and barely a fish locator. Lisa Almquist
1) You need to sign up with a photo hosting site like Flickr or photobucket. 2) Once you chose a picture as your avatar, you can copy that picture to the desktop of your computer. 3) You go into Photobucket and select download pictures. You can browse from there to locate your picture on your computer. I choose browse desktop and and then I open that picture to download it onto Photo- bucket. Press download.4) It should now show up in your album.5) I chose the direct link option. Click on that address. It is copied then.6) Then you go back to FM.com and choose My Stuff at the top of the forums.7) Chose Profile.8) Scroll down to the bottom of your profile and click the circle that says, URL to your avatar.9) Right click to paste the address to your new avatar picture. 10) Click submit. You should be good to go! That's how I do my avatars. Works well for me!
Iambjm
I am totally exhausted today after working the fish fry yesterday for Let' Go Fishing With Seniors. We sold and served over 500 dinners, had a ball being a co-emcee for the event and the drawings. Now I am really stoked to go fishing, and the ice just went out of our lake yesterday. I pray June will get here real fast. Paul from Appeldoorn's (the sweetheart that he is) donated a New Years Weekend 6 hole deluxe ice shack for our silent auction. Sad to say we received no bids on it. So it will be offered at our fall Fish Fry in October, and if no one bids again I am buying it. This shows me how top notch Appeldoorn's is, and they will be getting a lot of my business come next hardwater season.
Debbie K
WOW - those are some hungry seniors. Sounds like you had a lot of fun. And June will be here before you know it.
Patti
Thanks Lisa...I have used photobucket for pics in postings but never for the avatar. I was doing everything you mentioned including checking "URL to your avatar" and cutting/pasting in the link.Right now photobucket is taking forever to download it from a workfolder so it can be assigned a URL. No - seriously - I think its great for a first boat and it has a lot of memories - its the first boat I ever fished out of as a kid. Grandpa bought it brand new in '60 and its in great condition - just not big enough for Mille Lacs
