Yum Dinger vs. Senko

Hiya -

I like the Dingers a lot. The 3" Dingers are my go-to drop-shotting bait - I buy 'em 100 at a time. I greatly prefer them to Senkos for drop-shotting because they're more buoyant than a GY Senko, which is good when you're drop-shotting I think. I use them to split shot and wacky rig too, and they're fine for that as well. Like you said, they're a lot cheaper than the GY baits.

I also like the Northland Dip Stick worm a lot too. A little more buoyant yet than the dingers, which is great for getting a slow fall, and they REALLY glide ncie when you Texas rig them. Plus, I love some of the colors. The Northland Bluegill color kicks.

Personally, I can't justify the pricing on GY Senkos. Maybe if you fish them all the time side by side you'd see a performance difference, but I sure can't.

Cheers,

Rob Kimm

Senko- my personal favorite, nice action and slow even fall. Price is a little high though.

Dingers- Alright for wacky, not a fan for weightless though they seem to fall unevenly and have less action than the senkos, more durable and cheaper though.

Comida- hated it the thing just would sit there and float. I like the color choices though.

I think I have used almost every senko imitation out there and to be honest they all catch fish. I will buy what ever I come across. Last year I did really well with the Bass Pro version, and chompers as well.

I switched from GY senkos to the All Terrain Stickbaits. They have been working well and I won't go back due to the price. Also, they AT stickbaits are much more durable, which is a must with how much I fish them.

70-80% of them are made by the same company just packaged in different locations and different attractants added to them.

Made by the same place, but not he same formulas (color, scent and amount of salt) Yes its true there is a couple places that do alot of work for the big boys, but most use there own formulas, so why shot at the same place, not the same thing!

There are a couple colors in the original GY Senko that I can't get in a Yum Dinger. Red Shad Laminate is my absolute favorite color for just about any plastic bait. Love it with all my heart. Yum has quite a few good colors, and I like the Mister Twister Comidas as well. I fish stick baits wacky rigged on a 1/0 Gamakatsu Finesse Wide Gap most of the time. The hook has just enough heft to help get the bait down at the right rate of fall. I didn't use them as much last year as in previous years though as last year I wanted to break out into other ways of catching bass consistently. They work great though. I even use some of the limited production 2" Senkos for crappies and blue gills. Fun stuff for sure.

GY Senkos for me. I put a lil dab of glue by the eye so it lasts a few more fish. Then put it on backwards and do the same. Then its ready for wackyrig after the ends are chewed. They are more $, but worth every cent. That my .02.

I have knockoffs and my friends can use those:)

Gulp sinking minnows work well, too. They are cheaper than Senkos, but cost more than the knock-offs. I like them because they are heavier than most of the other ones.

These are my favorite for wacky rigging. Junebug is my go to color in these.
