Mudcutter
Last I checked,,, Chi town was the home of the biggest loser of all time,, the CUBS. Face it Windy, thou your a sox a fan, you have the worst in your own backyard.--- Funny thing is,, they still sell out Cubs playoffs games only to see them beat like a rented mule. What's worse?? Vikes lose when people are smart enough to see it coming, or Cubs fans saying for the last 100 years this is our year???If people in CHI are dumb enough to think they could win one playoff game ,, none-the-less 2 or maybe 3,,,, CHOKE a few years back-- CHI-town folks got more cash then the rest of us.Then again with the Cubs so close-- what do you expect?? I'am sure Cubs fans eat up the Bears like a Grizzly on running salmon.
CrappiesNCats
don't let windy get to you. he's just a windy jealous person. it must stink knowing the bears got a bunch of lucky bounces to compete and still couldnt quite get there.the vikes match up a lot better than the bears do against the eagles. last time we played the eagles we gameplanned and stopped westbrook. that is key. our pass defense is much better than the last go around and kelly holcomb was the quarterback.the game will sell out and will be packed. the metrodome is THE loudest sports stadium in playoffs. McNabb is also easily rattled and isn't nearly as mobile as he was.its not going to be a blowout either way, but lets remember: the eagles BARELY snuck in. they scored one TD against the fading skins and TIED cincinnatti. pathetic. otto_man
Are Vikings season-ticket holders a bit skeptical about their team’s playoff prospects, or are they just sick of hearing that obnoxious horn?Eagles 24-
tisosy11
If the Bears would have made it...they wouldn't have had a home game!Vikes win by 6, McNabb throws a pick or fumbles at a key time late.Game will be on TV...they extended the deadline in Arizona another 24 hours. The Vikings likely will receive the same deadline and will have until Saturday at 3 to sell the remainder of the tickets. So the team likely has to sell 8000 tickets from noon on Thursday to 3 on Saturday. Doable since then sold 12000 Monday to Thursday.Lets go VIKES! Sandmannd
I know a couple of season ticket holders. You have to buy two or three tickets all the way up to the NFC Champion Game. Incase they keep winning then you go to all, if not you get the money off your next year tickts. My buddy said it was a grand for the tickets. He said no. Caleb S
If they can't sell the remaining 8k tickets before the deadline maybe some company will step up and buy the remainder so it gets televised. It's happened before but with the economy most companies are tightening up their belts a bit.
LMITOUT
It was far less than 8000 tickets when corporate sponsors and the television station stepped up to buy the rest of them, so it could be tough to get done this time. Arizona is having troubles selling the rest of their tickets too, but maybe they've sold out since the last I heard which was early yesterday. FISHINGURU
actually they didn't even score a TD against the skins...they were held to a field goal the whole game.the last time a game was blacked out in MN was in 97...do you guys really think it's not gonna be on TV still? Windy City
First of all, when I was referring to the "town" I was talking about the Twin Cities, not the "state". I do have a college degree and they did teach us a few things about states and towns back in the day. Second, you guys can run your mouths all you want and I said that the Bears did not make the playoffs, but the fact still remains that you guys can't sell out a playoff game, A PLAYOFF GAME, and you have to go down to the wire and hope this company or that company buys up the tickets. We had 42K fans show up in 12 degree weather yesterday to Wrigley Field to watch a friggin hockey game outdoors! They even sold seats on the ROOFTOPS of the buildings across the street from Wrigley Field. And the Queens can't sell out a PLAYOFF game! Amazing. Rest assured as I said before, playoff games sell out in minutes here in the Windy not days or weeks. Pretty sad statement for all the purple fans out there.Windy

Bottom line, your bragging about how fast your tickets would sell if you were in the playoffs. Your not, ha!
Windy City
Caleb,Actually I was not bragging about how fast our tickets would sell, I think that is a given in most towns who support their local teams. I was actually using the comparison to point out how pitiful the Twin Cities fans were who would not get playoff tickets that were readily available. MN fans talk a good game but leave it up to the generousity or whim of a big local company to buy up their tickets so they can watch the game on TV rather than showing up for the game in person. And they don't even have the weather to use as an excuse since you are in the Baggie Dome!Windy
Schloogs
I was actually using the comparison to point out how pitiful the Twin Cities fans were who would not get playoff tickets that were readily available. Windy Really, pitiful? Thats not so nice, windy. If you would like to buy me a ticket, I would gladly go . Otherwise I would prefer the big corporations to buy the remaining tickets so that I can watch the game on my Hi Def TV and spend the money on a new TB power noodle and Tica reel. Juneau4
Population may make a big difference for ticket sales in comparing Chicago and Minnesota sales. The last time I looked the population of people in Mn. Wisconsin, and Iowa just about equalled Illinois.

BrianLucky13
Maybe cuz half the population in Mn is Green Bay Packers fans???But then again maybe not. I've been to a few vikings games and a few other NFL teams game and I know I will never go to a Vikings game again.(BORING) Not cuz im a hater, cuz the games are just not fun to me. I really think if they had an outside field the sales wouldnt be a problem. Could never be as fun as Green Bay though. Just because of the size of Green Bay and how easy it is to get around. 27-9 Eagles!!!!
Windy City
Guys,Don't hate the player, hate the game. Facts is facts and now the Queens are on their third super secret probation extension (pardon my Animal House pun there). But really, you have to extend their deadline until Saturday afternoon for a Sunday game??? Quote all the stats and populations you want, you guys can not sell out a 60K stadium. You mean to tell me there are not 30,000 fans willing to shell out a few bucks for a playoff game and take a friend? You can make all the excuses you want but it does not make your team or your state, town, whatever look good when you can't sell your playoff tix. guideman
I see no need to take all this grief from people who's teams will be playing golf this week instead of getting ready for the opening round of the NFL playoffs. Had the packers not folded in the last 10 minutes of the game last Monday, the bears would have been eliminated two weeks ago. Instead they got pounded by a team the Vikings beat eaisly a few weeks ago, with their whole season on the line. In their defence,(Da Bears) it's hard to win with your hands around you neck!! Complain all you want north division losers. The Vikings are the champs and they are in the playoffs. Win or lose that's a whole lot better than the cheese or the babies of the midway did. You should be able to find some solace in this little phrase, "Wait till next year" and for all you Packer fans...OH yea, How many Super bowls have you won?! I love that one! Go Vikings!! "Ace" Ace guide serice.
