Fish Cam vs GPS

I already have a FL 18, power auger and a Otter Lodge Shack and enough rods, tip ups and tip downs. Now I am toy shopping and cant decide between a Cabelas 7" fish cam or a Lowrance iFinder H2OC. The GPS would also get some limited use for hunting. What are your thoughts???

Go with the GPS. Don't even think twice about it.

The cams only work during the day and only when fishing. The GPS will do day/night and not only fishing but hunting like you said.

Get the Lakemaster '09 and you will be happy with it for sure!

I agree with slugger, also the cams dont work on alot of darker or stained water. I live in WI and buoght the cam first pretty much useless on alot of the lakes here.

Definitely go with the GPS.

Don't forget to include the $$ for the lake chip - Lakemaster or Navionics (not included when you by the GPS). I recommend doing some homework on which chip provides high def maps of the lakes you normally fish. Expect to pay ~$100 for the chip if buying new.

I agree, definately a GPS. I use my GPS all the time, I don't use my camera very often.

I would get the GPS for sure.I use mine all the time and use my camera maybe 10% of the time.Got mine at Pro Fishing Supply.

Another vote for the GPS. I have the vex and the GPS. Almost bought a camera instead. Glad I didn't. A lot of the time I don't think I would use the camera. I always have the gps out.

I have a H2Oc and a AquaVu Scout. The H2Oc gets used a lot more than the AquaVu. The GPS is more of a necessity and the camera is more of a novelty.

GPS with chip.......it will help you get to the lake and once on the lake it will put you on structure.....

well how often are you going to use the camera? cant realy use cameras in stainded water.go for the h2oc.you wont regret it.

GPS hands down. got the one you're talking about and use it all the time.

GPS, like said above I have a camera and use it maybe once every 5 times I go out. Plus it doesn't work the greatest in the dark and in stained water. I use my GPS almost every time. Besides, it can be used for hunting and navigation. Another vote for the H20c as well.
