Thanks Jay!

Seeing those pics Tyler say's one thing to me "Road Trip" . You guys are managing that lake really well, proud of you.

Frank I see you remember the tree on Tyler and Bud's lake there. Seems you had plenty of time to look at the scenery around since you only caught one crappie all day whistlewinklaugh

Pman, I havnt heard of any major catches from the deep but it seems every time I go and I mean (every time) I always end up with atleast 1 maybe 2-3 huge sunnies from 20 ft plus. Last sat I got one that was taller than my hand

Todd - I have to find out when were gonna take the Malibu back to Heather, probably Sunday.. I'll let you know.. Which reminds me of when a few years back when the superbowl was over at half time and I went down to the sm. side of Morraine with the lantern and caught 50+ crappies wink Hearing those coyotes in the distance howling was the only sound I heard...

Went to Yellow Tape today, got there about 8AM and was only one other guy there. Only had 1 tank of propane so I new I would only be there for 4-5 hours max, cause this new heater eats propane like it's going out of style, and that's on low! Started marking fish right off and caught my first one within 2-3 mins. Fish were loving those new jigs, I even caught my largest Perch ever. She was 13.5", that's big to me. I lost 4 or 5 other hogs, one as I was pulling it through the hole. Ended my day at 27 caught and released and 5 came home to dinner. All in all a good day I think, oh and I also have some pics if I could figure out how to post them.

Al, 13.5 is a big perch for anyone as for the heater that sounds odd. There is a HSOforum for parts for the sunflower heater.www.propaneproducts.com $9.95 for the part thats a far cry from $50 for a new one.Going to need it for cooking on the ice soon.

I worked a half day today then Tank, Billy, and I headed south to the crappie lake. Had a very nice afternoon, the 3 of us iced close to a hundred fish. Most were picky and had to be worked, others were eating! Most were 8-10 inchers with some smaller and some bigger.

Heres a pict of me with a 11.5 and my trusty Thorne Bros Quiverstick...

Fished Deruyter with Sniper07 sat morn. Drilled more holes than fish caught. Fished parrallel with the northern tip of the island in the middle of the lake. Hit both edges of the channel in water rangeing from 30-46 ft. Fish were mostly tight to the bottom and not real active. Caught 1 decent perch and 1 small one. Couple small eyes and that was it. Sniper lost one. Got some good info from a local as we were loadin up to head out. Will give that a shot next time..

Finally got to take My wife and my daughter out on the ice today. It was the first time out for my 3yr old daughter and the first ice trip in 3 yrs for my wife. Beutiful day on lake Moraine. Alls I can say is its a sad day when I go to lake Moraine and dont ice a fish. Had a couple hooked trying to get the rod in my daughters hands so she could reel it in and all got away. Bummer!!! It was still an awsome time to have the 3 of us on the ice together.. Maybe next time!! Started to get reel sloppy with lots of sluch and 4" snow on top..

Fished south end of Owasco today. Did not mark a fish for 2 hrs. Started seeing fish in the afternoon. Bill and I got 25 nice sunnies apiece in the afternoon. Caught a ton of perch all afternoon none being larger than 8.5 in. 10 in of ice and 4 in of snow walking was great.

Iceman I think it's great that you are building these memories with your little one. One of your greatest memories will probably be when your little girls ices her first fish. Thanx again for teaming up with me for our outing on Duryter Lake, we didn't get much action, but the good time was the main thing. Would like to hook up with you and try it again, wherever you want to go would be fine with me.

Went to yellow tape today and was there for 1.5 hours before I iced my first fish. Then for the next 3.5 hours it was pretty much non-stop action. Caught over a 100, all gills and I could have limited out easy, but I just wanted enough for dinner tonight. I was hitting them hard in the weeds on the bottom. The third lure I tied on they loved, and I was tipping it with 2 spikes and a waxie.
