I put my bass stuff away a few months ago (60 days to hunt or 360 to fish?) and I don't think I'll tag another Micropterus until 2009 on a favorite iced up lake along a mucky flat by some veg.

Biggest of the year, a prespawner shortly after opener just short of 22"

And an 18" fish from this winter that bit on a size #10 jig.

man that bass is a hog! I've only caught 1 bass with a rod in winter, mostly with tip ups.
