H2Oc Lake Chips

Go to Lakemaster's HSOforum and look at the chart. (Do a google search for Lakemaster. I believe it is lakemaps. you know what)It will tell you which lakes have 1', 3', 5' contours, etc. It's the easiest way to explain it. All I know is that combo rules! I've got the same setup.

I just bought the lakemaster chip today to go with my H2Oc. It shows depth contours for many of the lakes in Minnesota, plus a number of lakes with high detail contours. It also shows highways, landmarks, cities, and many points of interests such as restaurants, marinas etc. You'll just have to plug it in and play around with it, it has tons of features. It's definitely a great investment and I can't wait to use mine. The 1' to 3' contour intervals just means that it shows a depth for every one foot or every two feet or every three feet.

It will show pretty much all roads in MN. You can even search addresses if you want. The high detailed 1 and 3 ft contours are newly mapped lakes they charted with GPS and the 5 ft contours are based on the old DNR maps from what I can tell. It is a very good combo. I love mine. The only problem is that every tom Dick and harry has one now and no spot is sacred anymore. In about 10 minutes on the lake you will wonder how you ever fished without one.

the H20c is the bomb! this will save you more time that you ever thought. I have the new 2007 map chip and I use it in my 104c as well. When you get to the 1 and 3 ft contours as long as you have good strong signals it will put you with in just a few feet of the target. If it says you should be in 21 fow you will be. also don't forget to look at your moon/sun sets and rises. One thing I do now is I plan the whole route on the lake before I even get there, mark all my way points that I want to fish then go spot hopping. play with the unit at home so your not fumbling around with it like I was the first time. good luck.

My explorations with new toys is just beginning. Picked up my new wheel house two days ago, now I am not only mobile with my porty, but now sleep worthy with my new 16' wheelhouse.

Have fish house, will travel!!!

Very true. I love the chip on Mille Lacs and Minnewaska, you have at your fingertips the spots that old-timers have kept secret for years. Just don't be surprised when you find a promising looking spot and pull up only to find that others have beat you to it. Even the old DNR maps will get you in the vicinity of the breaks you are looking for. Just have to drill around a bit.
