Nah-I wouldn't call it nosey! Just curious to see what the family's been up to! \:D

Who gets paid to chat on FM? Not I! I'm only here to make sure no one's posting things they shouldn't! \:D Except if you really want to put your honey hole coords up glenn?

We'll see if we can fit you in (gotta have room the the beer & Hot 100 first...) Hopefully it won't be -40 wind chill like it was last time we were up there... The Hot 100 & Blackhaus didn't last long... The guys were asking me 'who's great idea it was to be out here in that weather' Had it admit it... it was mine.....but at least we caught a couple keepers (and a burbot- but that doesn't count)

I figured I'd pop in and post my bio here.

My name is Bill. I am a 43 year old married white male. I have a 5 year old son and a 16 year old step daughter.

I am very much into fishing and mostly fish Mille Lacs. But I also have a few other lakes I hit for nice bluegills, crappies, bass and northerns.

Just last year I also took up deer hunting with a bow. I haven't got one yet but saw a few big bucks just out of range. So hopefully this year I'll get one.

I am a Mechanical Engineer. My true passions are spending time with my son and spending time outdoors. Pretty soon I will be taking my son with me more and more fishing. He has already been out with me several times to Mille Lacs and once to LOW. He caught several perch up to 12" on MIlle Lacs. I also look forward to taking him hunting after he becomes a teenager.

I grew up in Chicago, and I love the White Sox, Bears and Bulls.

That's my story........

Well, I been reading this for awhile and I figured its time to drop in my .02.

Name is the same as my screen name, I also answer to "fishahollik" as thats on my boat and bug deflector on my f150. I am married (2nd time)to a great gal named Jackie who is only 15 years younger than me. She enjoys going to VNP with me, but she preffers relaxing in the boat over the fishing part. We both enjoy the camping and the solitude of VNP.

I Was born in Charleston SC (Dad was in the Navy) Grew up all over. We moved every 3-4 years until I was 13 and my dad retired from the Navy at which time we moved to Lakeville, mn. We lived there for a year, then moved to DeSoto, WI where I went to HS. Thats where I call "Home" as its where I lived for the longest period of time in my life. I graduated in 1982 from DHS and joined the Navy myself. I was able to see a bunch of the world and managed to drag some lures around the ocean and fresh water from MS to FL, SC, VA, CT, RI. I have also fished in IL, MI, NY, TN, WI, MN and Canada. I have fished the ocean around Newfoundland, Cuba, St Thomas VI, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Spain, Greece, Isreal, Italy, Peru, Columbia, Chile, Honduras, Venezuala, Panama (Both atlantic and pacific side) and many thousnads miles of the Atlantic Ocean. I fished above the artic circle and within 30 miles of the ant-arctic circle.

I retired from the Navy in 2002 and moved back to Lacrosse, WI. I started working for a security company and after 2 years they asked me to move to the Duluth office. Since I had spent three years in Duluth as a Navy recruiter from 88-91 I said SURE!. I currently live in South Range WI. I have been fishing since I was 3, My dad took me hunting when I was 5. Been doing both ever since. I could get alot more fishing done if it wasn't for work. Soon as I win the lottery there won't be a safe place on earth for any fish to go.

I have 4 kids (that I know of) My Oldest Daughter is 20, my youngest daughter is 5 months. My Oldest Son is 17, my youngest is 5. The Boys love to hunt and fish, my youngest daughter will get her first taste of it next summer. I have a 2 year old Black Lab named Reload. I have been known to drink a beer or twelve, I also enjoy cooking and love to cook over an open fire or on the grill.

I could go on, but this is long enough. I throw some pics in after this posts.

Real name is Greg.

Age, 46 (don't act nearly that old).

Single, the perfect woman just hasn't found me yet. Hmm, relatives don't think that's funny either.

Screen name came from my favorite winter fishing lure. Drives my cousin nuts that I catch fish on it so I used the name to irratate him.

Known for my dry, quick, and self depricating sense of humor.

Hobbies include camping, golf, photography, baseball (only as a fan these days), and of course, fishing.

Born near Rothsay MN, grew up in Cooperstown, ND, college at Mary College (renamed the University of Mary after they got all my money) in Bismarck, ND, currently reside in Detroit Lakes, MN.

Work for Amish Furniture of Detroit Lakes for the past few years.

Geez, I probably could copy and paste this on Match.com. Might even get a hit as long as I don't post a picture. (see self depricating comment above)

I do not and never have owned a 20" box fan.

Killed a couple of hours at work reading this post yesterday. Shhh, don't tell the boss. One of the most interesting posts I've seen on this site.

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
