Last time I checked this forum there were 16 pages- whoa has this forum exploded! My name is Kevin, Im 23 and have a girlfriend of 2 years, Tara. Born and raised in Mankato, I graduated 2003 and have been working Customer Service since. I joined the Army reserves shortly after HS, and when I got back I started working for Orbitz.com hotels for a little under 2 years, and have been working for Midwest Wireless/Alltel for the last 2 1/2 years. I have an English Bulldog, Kera who was kind of a rescue- we got her from a family in Iowa who could no longer take care of her, and she was a mess (ear mites, mange, skin infection, eye infection). Well, many nights of Ramen and Mac+cheese later, shes all fixed up and by far the best dog Ive ever met, especially owned. I just got into hunting this past year namely waterfowl and pheasant, and really got hooked on ice fishing this past year as well (have been before, but very few times). I really enjoy doing outdoor things, biking, hiking, driving around and being with nature (But I tell ya, working inside has it's perks!). Ive really enjoyed reading through the other bios, Its always cool to know a little bit more about people than their screen names!!

If you go deep sea fishing I wanna go. \:D Be careful with the sail fish tho, I was watching some of those 911 shows and I have heard of this happening twice, that those fish hold a grudge when caught. One man was speared in the side and a woman was realing hers in when it jumped right into the boat and pierced her leg. cry.gif I'm sure it was just a coincidence but still enough to scare me.

For some reason I had the thought flash through my mind of the old Johnny Carson segment where he had one guy/gal(can't remember who was who) throwing an axe at the other person in front of a round target area. The axes landed and stuck in various places around the target individual. That seems more like the rough and tumble way of dealing with stuff. \:D\:D I can take it. I ain't skeered,ya know! \:\/

Thanks, reelemin. Sorry,to all, if my post about the Johnny Carson episode came off as a bit wacko.Sometimes things get typed in the keyboard right as it comes from a person's mind.Oh, well. It's done all in good fun, of course.Nice to be here, that's for sure. \:\)

I guess Ill share.

Raised on da Iron Range in the tiny village of Taconite pop 310 (salute) eating venison, grouse, fish, sarmas and pitiha. My brother taught me how to hunt, fish, trap. Also taught me to fillet, gut, skin so he didnt have to. On da range when you say the world drops off at the edge of town; it litteraly does. Graduated from Greenway and proceeded to head to Valley City ND to further my education. Luckily met the lady who bacame my wife and she persuaded me to join her in Bemidji. Yeah trees again. Graduated from BSU with social studies education and then proceeded to waste my education by working 10 years making Oxboard. But my wife and I get to raise our three girl cubs in god's country. right now Im in my last weeks of vo-tech trying to get a job in plumbing and heating. Wife is going for RN and is driving me nuts with all this medical stuff.

My middle girl is my favorite fishing partner, in fact she showed dad how to catch hard water eyes this past weekend on our favorite lake, Bemidji. She is looking forward to hunting in a few years if mama bear will let her join me. I need someone to gut my deer for me now.

Hi--still pretty new on this site--I'm originally from a little town in MN (Fisher)..the kind of town you 'don't blink or you'll miss it' type. Used to do the family fishing thing up to the LOTW every year with the parents & sibs. Working in Fargo now for the past 17 years and FINALLY found a guy who loves to fish like me. (Now married for 6 years) I have a daughter from a previous marriage who is now 21, he has 2 boys for a previous that are 10 & 12. We do lots of summer and ice fishing. He is still amazed at how MUCH I like to fish, and we have a great time no matter where we go. Do a lot of spontaneous fishing. Pick a lake, find a spot and see what it brings.. Still lookiing for the big catch.. and hoping all the smaller ones we keep throwing back will end up on the end of our lines some other year. We usually bring out a few friends with us of meet them on the lakes..get a lotta of laughs from them. Comedians... every one of them... (One had the catch of the day--a 12" mudpuppy.--WOO-HOO) Gonna blow that pic up and frame it and give it to him for his birthday...He's gonna LOVE us for that one!! (ha,ha) Heading for LOTW on the 13th of March for the weekend and see what the lakes bring us. Anyone know how the roads are out of Bablers? Was there a few weeks ago and were pretty good then.

Hello all - born and raised in Watertown. Still new to this site but I absolutely love it! Grew up fishing with my grandpa and hunting with my dad. Went to college at the University of Wisconsin where I met my wife. We now moved back to Watertown and I spend most my free time (whenever not working or making the house better) on the water. I throughly enjoy bass fishing in the summer, but look forward to targeting other species every time out. I plan on getting into fly fishing this summer. Mrs. Tisosys11 is on the fence with all the fishing...she usually comes with but gets bored pretty easily, so when she gets a nice fish, shes usually hooked for a little while anyways.

I usually fish Tonka/Waconia in the open water season when around and fish all kinds of small west metro lakes in the hardwater season. We have a cabin up on Pelican Lake and I am bound and determined to learn that lake this year so the plan is to spend many weekends there when we don't have plans to travel to see old friends and to watch the Twins play.

When not working or on the water you can find me watching the Twins, Vikings or anything college basketball and football!

Hey fish toys--I'd put the pic of the 'catch of the day', but it's on my hubby's cell phone. I'm one of the unfortunates who doesn't have a puter at home, so have no way to download it to show off our friends 'BIG catch' except to check it out on his phone.. (plus I'm totally cell phone illiterate and wouldn't know how to get the pic off the phone to here anyways.)

So---was the big town of Fisher what you expected??

I have no reports for you glenn! I'm not sure when we'll head back up there. March is getting booked up with lakes that aren't around cabin! It's just been so slow up there. I've read about the great perch they've caught up on Winnie so I think you'll have a successful trip, huh? Let us know!
