Lund4Fish
A friend of mine in Washington is interested in coming back that way to purchase a boat in the near future. Anybody want to reccomend a Lund dealer there he could deal with? The one I've bought my last 3 Lund's from doesn't sell Lund's anymore, so I'm not sure where to send him.Just in case you're wondering, yes it is worth the trip back, plus it's an opportunity to fish some good lakes back that way. Thanks
Down Deep
I purchased a new LUND in the spring of 2007. I bought at Rapid Sports in Ham Lake, MN just north of the Twin Cities. I shopped around and they had the best price and the service was excellent.
iffwalleyes
Resort Marine in Walker. I didn't buy mine there but they did some warranty work for me this summer as my previous deal quit carrying them. I was very impressed with there service center. They did a great job of keeping me in the loop and they had a great turn around on the work. Highly recommended.
harvey lee
I did not purchase my boat from Rapid marine in Ham Lake but they have helped me out and I am now a true believer in that store. Great place for sure.
JohnK
I can't suggest a dealer, but I agree it's definitely worth the trip. I did it last month for a used boat, the prices are so much higher out here in WA that even at the price of gas today it's worth the trip...at least it is if you like road trips. Black_Bay
I suggest stopping in Townsend Montana at the Lund dealer. Ask for Terry. He'll treat you right. If your buddy is set on coming all the way to Minnesota I'd suggest Rapid Sport also.

I second this - especially if he's closer than coming to MN. While I don't know Terry personally I would vouch for his service and helpfullness. marine_man
wannaeye
I also bought a new boat last spring fom Rapid Sports in Ham Lake. They were great to deal with, and had the absolute lowest price on my rig. I would definetly recommend them to anyone!!!
JDP
If you plan to make it to Minnesota, it has to be Rapid Sports! I have been a custmer since 1988 and have referred many other satisfied customers. However, if you only get as far as Montana, get to Terry @ Townsend Marine! dakotakid31
RAPID RIP OFF would be my last choice. my friend and i both bought boats the same year and they would not match or beat either of the prices we had from other dealers....i live in big lake drove to Corner Sports in Bemidji to pick up my boat if that tells ya anything. Big Walleye 58
I agree with the kid . I would not go to Rapid Sports . My experience was they try to sell with all of the extras , rod tubes ,radios etc etc. not what you want or are interested in . Ended up buying from Nelson Marine in White Bear lake and I am from Duluth. Good pricing and great service . Pleasant experience.
marine_man
A note here... please do not turn this into a Lund Dealer bashing thread.Thanksmarine_man

primetime49
Lund for Fishalthough I dont buy from Rapid Sports Center now I have had good luck with them since 1994 on about 30 some boat purchasesI think they have had the same general mgr that long.I have found better pricing at other Lund dealers.Brunswich has same price and freight code whether you get your Lund here or in Washington, tell any dealer between here and there and simply start shopping
Lund4Fish
Just for the record, I've boght my last 3 boats in Minnesota due to pricing issues. The least amount I've saved has been about $5000.00. My last new boat was a 2005, Lund 1950 Pro-V, with a 200 HP Verado. I paid $35,000.00 for it in MN. The best price I could get in CO, was $42,000.00, where I was living at that time. So then I called several dealers here in WA, knowing that I'd soon be moving out here and the best price I could get was $44,000.00. Some of these western states only have 1 or 2 Lund dealerships and there just isn't much competition on the pricing. It's well worth the trip back to MN for me, plus then I just turn it in to a fishing trip too.
SPIN DRY
I bought a new Lund in 07, I recommend Nelson Marine. Good price, good service.
Shorelunch
I would have no problem buying from Rapid or Nelson. I would also check out Hoot's Marine in Perham, MN and as mentioned, Townsend Marine in Montana. Have fun!
Jim Almquist
After reading all the post I find it a little strange that anyone would mention customer service. If he buys the boat in Minnesota and takes it to Washington I just don't see him getting any service work done here. As long as he gets the best price and all the rigging done the way he wants everything else will be dependent on the Lund dealer doing warranty work in Washington. When I bought my Lund there were dealers that would not budge on price or do anything for me and I ended up driving 250 miles to save $1200 bucks and the dealership took my 2 solid ride pedestals in trade for air ride pedestals. The dealership no longer sells Lunds or they would be my recommendation.
primetime49
jimalmThe dealers around where we live are pretty much going to service your boat if they have time and it does not matter who you bought it from10 years ago you would have never had any luck like this but now they relize they need the money.L ast june during the Little Crow Anglers Tournament at Spicer some guys were having trouble on a Saturday morning with a ranger Reata and 115 Yamaha motor.QWe called Tiger Marine in New London and asked if they could look at boat and see if it could be on water that day.I gave them directions to the shop [the shop disgnosed it had been filled with Diesel fuel not gas ]fixed it h.This had them back on water before noon Turns out they were cabellas exc and trveling a long way to fish green [not in tourney]they have been back and it looks pretty neat that they return to green and have complimented area verbally from what others have heardIt is definatly smart to shop price nowdays as these shoppers here are posting.Even if it can be done by phone instead of driving all overI live here so am dealing on new LUND 20 glass with 250 MERCURY at TIGER MARINE New London Mn I have bought my last 3 Yamahas their Last yearTim is honest and tells me I hav to wait as the new boats are presently spoken for[first three to pro staff[Gorvgans ,tTakaski and one other ]than ordered boats
