schr0563
Just paid $2.69 this morning. If history is an indicator of future trends then gas should drop about 20 cents a gallon following my purchase.
perchking
Under $3 do that really exist???We have been 3.19 for the last month and this morning we are at 3.24.....Good old UP of Michigan..
harvey lee
It seems that the price of gas use to follow the price of crude. In the last year the price at the pump can really vary from the price of the crude. Look at all holidays, always an increase right before. The BIG oil companies will do whatever they please. I thought the price was going to go up soon also with the new record high in crude oil and my wife called this morning and said on the way to work that she notice that 1 station she drives by daily went down 20 cents. Who can figure the oil companies or gas stations out.
hanson
Quote:Just paid $2.69 this morning.Where on earth did you find that? Eden Prairie area?I'm just up the road from you and haven't seen anything under $2.95 in the last two weeks. $2.99 has been pretty consistant everywhere in my neighborhood. MuskieJunkie
Studies show there is a 2 week lag in crude oil fluctuations and pump price fluctuations.

Scott K
Opec starting pumping more oil, but crude went up because hurricane, and pipeline fears of terrorism, this morning 2 refineries went down because of a lack of power, they take along time to get back up, I am sure that will effect prices. Its all a game of "HOW HIGH CAN WE GO!" And we are just pawns in their big game!

Coach1310
All this talk about crude prices, refinery shut downs, hurricanes, terrorism.... I am starting to think none of it matters. I think some big oil fat cat gets up in the morning and says, "Honey, I feel like making money today. Let's raise the price of gas 20cents." And we still buy it
Swill
Not a fat cat...there is just way too many types of gas for a gas refining company to keep up. Then throw in biodisel, e85m, 87 octane, 89octant 91 octaneWhen was the last time you did not fill up using 87% octane??? I maybe filled 1 or 2 gallons last winter for the strikemaster, but a truck no way....
LMITOUT
Gas dropped 15 cents today. So much for the $80 hype. The worst thing that can happen is everyone run out and top off their tanks. Gas is supply and demand and they just love it when the hype machine gets rolling and everyone runs around like the sky is falling filling every last container they've got to save 10 cents. croixeyes
I buy it when I need it.It cost me more to hook up my boat and head to the pumps and return home than it does when Im on the way to fishin anyway.I may not run all over the place searchin for fish like I use to though.May have to look into getting a sail and maybe a small sail for a kicker
