Me too and to top it off we planning on a camping/crappie fishing trip and just figured with the rain and wind it wouldn't really resemble fun

I lucked out. We were originally going to go to Ike Waltons on Yellow for the WI opener, but they were booked and next week (the MN opener) was the next opening. We booked a cabin for next week instead. Dodged a wet, rainy bullet. Last year we went on the same weekend. 30's and rainy, yuck.

I would like to say I am, but instead I am sitting in sunny florida on my balcony smoking a cigar, drinking an MGD and reading fishing reports. Unforunately, we will be coming home tomorrow which is ok cause it's hot down here and we have to see the little rascals that have been driving grandma adn grandpa crazy all week........

Yep for once I figured it right, was out last Sunday Afternoon, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday Morning. Now just hoping for a half decent opening weekend.

Let's see, I installed an air conditioner for a family friend, went to the range and burned up some brass while it was pouring out. Went home for lunch, went to Gander, came home and got the gorrila charger installed on my truck and on my boat, cleaned up my firearms from this afternoon,it is 9:53 and I am sitting down for a beer...pretty good saturday........

i was out off and on all day. i live on the southside of the TC...and only got shut out for a couple of hours due to thunder and lightning. no crappies though...uuggh! caught plenty of Sunnys - none of them were anything to write home about.

i did however, get to see a nice domestic dispute when the wife backed the trailer in the water wrong, and the guy strated yelling at his wife. once she had it in the water, she had to take over and get the boat on the trailer...and she did a nice job. priceless...the guy was really upset - very funny.

Work kept me off the lake yesterday. And the guys were catching crappies right where I wanted to fish to boot!

I was busy re-carpeting the boat for the upcoming weekend .

Take a load old fish house scraps to be disposed, go get the camper out of storage and bring it back to life for opener, pick up some new flouro line, and mow the lawn when it quit raining and hurry to the compost heap before it closes. While the last item is iffy, most of what I did yesterday is contributing to getting on the water.

I went out and had a good time. Fish were biting lightly and that made it a bit of a challenge. The mild Minnesota spring zephyr was a tonic for the bones otherwise.

Worked yesterday morning for awhile, came home and put the equipment away, cleaned up and the Mrs. Grebe and I headed up to my sisters on Mille Lacs. I was going to try to take a few casts from shore in a couple of shallow areas, but that was out of the question.

Nice white caps on the west side thats for sure! Everyones hair was horizontal to the deck! Even the fuzz on the bald guys was laying over!

We visited and had a bunch of laughs, hit the casino for a couple of hours and pointed it back home....pretty laid back, thats for sure.

This wind can die down anytime it wants! Sure puts the damper on things...even the driving is an adventure! I wouldn't want to be pulling my boat, the way it threw my Ranger around.
