moss traded

How the mighty have fallen. 2 years ago Moss was worth a #7 overall pick plus a starting linebacker. Now he's a 4th rounder? N.E. always seems to get these star players when they're value is at the low point of there career.

Look for 90 catches, 1400 yards and 14 TD's from Mr. Moss this year. If Belichek can't get production out of him nobody can.

You must have him on your fantasy team, Moss has only 11 td's last two years and 1500 yards. You are looking at career numbers for him, someone who has lost more then a step. Brady is not know for his Deep arm so I think you would be lucky to see half of them numbers. Actually I don't even see him doing that and I am a Brady fan (fantasy). Wait and see, just glad the vikes did not bring him back. This will be his tenth season in the league, Somebody is getting old ( not me of course!)

It just depends upon his health. If he's healthy, he will light it up. He has something to prove and nobody wants to have to deal with a healthy Moss with a chip on his shoulder... His numbers in Oakland are greatly affected by a couple nagging injuries and one of the worst offenses in the entire league. Its safe to say that things will be different in NE if he's at all healthy.

I don't have him on my fantasy team. I just think this is his last chance and Belichek will either get him to perform or he will be cut. If he performs he will be very good again.

I heard on the radio that when Moss was working out for the Patriots last week he ran a 4.3 40 yard dash. He hasn't lost a step and if he did he is still way faster than most.

But...as will always happen with Moss, he will be double covered most of the time. His numbers have dropped not just because of injury, but also because the threat is covered better and leaves other shorter patterns open. That is what happened in MN...Moss opened up other things like a running game and shorter passing routes. spread the defense out even more and many more things open up as well.

Is he still a threat? You bet...but I don't think it is in the same manner. Brady will find other open receivers and move the ball down the field easily with shorter passes. Moss just opens up other avenues. Same thing with the other wide-receiver "dolts" out there who complain about not getting the ball enough and the me, me, me, attitude.

Well worth the gain versus what they paid for him from the perspective of NE. I think the same can be said for Jackson to San Fran.

How many fourth rounders actually end up starting in the NFL and how soon. Usually they are developmental players that take a year or two so NE basically traded away a roster spot or a developmental slot for a likely starter and maybe more. I like the chance and I'm not a NE rube. If he becomes a cancer in the locker room cutting him is a lot easier when he only cost you that fourth rounder.

He may make Donte Stallworth a whole lot better since Moss can stretch the field so maybe the Patriots benefit even if Moss doesn't end up with great numbers. (never worked for the other Oakland receivers so that is just a guess!)

I had seen on a couple of sites yesterday that the Pats gave a 4th rounder this year and a 1st rounder next year. Anybody else see that? If that is the case the Raiders got a pretty good deal, they gave us a 1st and 7th round, and Harris.

4.3 was reported as being in training session, but no one seems to know where.. Now I have seen where it was 4.29 time, just keeps getting better...

Just a 4th rounder this year (the 110 pick over all)

Nah, I doubt he will reach any where close to those numbers.. Brady SPREADS the ball too much! Besides, Moss is old now and a little slower then he use to be... Patriots, if i might add, also has a good defense if they can stay healthy. Thus, Moss won't be used too much because they won't be throwing many deep balls because they will attempt to run down the clock with their awesome running game....What will Moss do for the Patriots? He will lessen the number of times opposing defense stacks up to stop the run.. There will be less blitzs, and Moss will open up the running game even more.. Moss will also help other wr get better because he will draw double team coverage, perhaps even triple team lol... This is what Moss will do for the Patriots.
