Ready Rig Auger cover

Recommended Posts

Boy is my auger in love with me. smile.gifShe says she will do alot of fast holes and never complain. I shined her up this year, gave her a new plug, adjusted the carb and sharpened her blades.

Now for the part she really loved. I purchased her a new auger cover from Ready Rig. smile.gif It fits like a glove and covers the auger head completly so the road dirt and salt wont dirty the carb and eat away at her block.

This is one of the best products I have bought for my gear in years.

Guys, do your auger a favor and get her a cover and she will pay you back for years. cool.gif

I have a complete auger cover, but would like something like that for running and gunning. The full cover is nice, but it's kind of a pain to put in and take out of all day long.

How much do these cost?

Where can I get one?

A Red & black (JIFPHC01) model was designed to fit Jiffy® and Eskimo® 2hp and 3hp wide stance handle augers.

The Blue & Black (SMPHC01) model was designed to fit the more compact StrikeMaster augers with composite handles including the Strike Lite. I believe the SMPC01 would probably provide a better fit for the smaller, compact and more square shape of the Nils.

You can also find a official Jiffy® Yellow & Black vesion on the Jiffy HSOforum. I believe you can also get that version from your favorite dealer as well...just ask.

Hope this helps!

I have a 3hp strikemaster with the metal D handle.. should I be getting the jify since the strikemaster one is for the 2hp plastic handles? nobody in my area carries the covers so i cant take it in and check.

i bought my full cover last season and wouldnt recommend it to anyone. the first really cold day i used it the vinyl type material got quite brittle i couldnt even pick up the auger with out the cover ripping where the handles are sewn on. looks and sounds good in theory, performance on the other hand not so hot. it would be a much better product if it were made out of a heavy canvas material. just a thought from my experience the $50 bucks not well spent.

Did you try and contact the company and let them know you had problems? I would think that they might be interested in your problems with the cover. Sometimes these problems can be resolved with a phone call.I am wondering if we are talking about the same thing? The Ready Rig auger bag that I bought was more of a rough fabric and not vinyl and the price was 14 dollars and not 50. I am thinking you might be talking about something totally different.

I hope it all works out for you.

I do believe the post about the bad 50 dollar bag has to be different than the auger bag that I am talking about as I paid 14 and he is talking about a 50 dollar vinyl bag. I believe we are not talking about the same product.

I picked up a Blue one on Thursday for my 8 (?) year old Strikemaster Lazer. It has the metal handles and the bag fit just fine. Not sure if the 3hp had wider handles or not. I will try and remember to measure my auger tonite and will post up the results.

Harvey - thanks for the tip, both me and a fellow from work picked covers up. This sure is a nice HSOforum for tips and help!
