Yep. Wasn't sure if we were allowed to link info like that.

They seem pretty tough, though the wires coming out of them are thinner than I expected. Wired them up with some 22 gauge speaker wire running inside the top pole of my Fishtrap Guide. Looks slick.

I use headlamps on my hat and i know theres better ways to light but i am very cheap... So i was wondering if anyone use bicycle lights that they cliped to there poles and then aimed them at the ice and how much that would run me, and if your pleased or not???

Stopped by Walldoggie's today and check out the lights. They are what he says, nice a bright. He just has the one strip and it's plenty bright. I'm puttin' mine on order tonight. I might get two and just put them on separate switches so I have extra light for tying. Thanks again for letting me take a look. Very nice guy and it's always great to meet an FM'r and pick their brains a little.

I have a 6 x 12 permanent house with 3 incandescent bulbs, I run them of my pontoons deep cycle battery. I tested them the other day and they draw 10 amps. I would like to switch to LEDs to get more life out of my battery. However I fish with kids and I can't sacrifice the brightness.

I see several multi LED lights on the internet, but hate to spend $75 in LEDs only to switch back to Bulbs. Does anyone know of a place to see them in operation? confused.gif

sand mannd- It was a pleasure meeting you, good luck on your order you will not regret it, and thanks for the compliments. And we will get out fishing together, hopefully sometime soon.

jason, Led lights do not give off any real heat, and you will be able to fold up your house after hours of them being on. As far as a power supply i picked up a 12 v 12 amp battery from ax man for 15 bucks.

I think a dimmer would work, though I haven't tried one. I know that LED's dim slowly as battery power diminishes (unless they are regulated). I think a dimmer would produce the same effect.

This is a shot of the top bar and the rear bar. The tube light is in the foreground, the pigtails you see are for plugging in additional lighting if you want to tan smile.gif The rear light I picked up from Gander and it swivels for shining down in the bottom of the sled

This image shows the front bar that is over the door

Another photo of the top bar Lighting3.jpg

Another photo of the light that shines down into the sled. This one is not wired permanently, Once I set the house up and want to use it, I simply plug it in Lighting4.jpg

This photo shows how I have the wires running up into a converted cell phone charger. When you fold up the house the cord retracts Lighting6.jpg

Then I thought I would throw in these photos of my Big Screen GPS with chip laugh.gif : GPS.jpg

Nice pics Paul.

I have got a question about mounting the lights to the poles. I bought the overhead LED's fixtures from Spectrum, the round ones about the size of a coaster for a coffee table. I will be putting them in Yukon on the poles. Two lights on the overhead pole and one on the back overhead pole aiming at the tub. I am wondering what works the best for mounting them to the round pole? Thanks.
