I will have room for 1 (possibly 2 if one is a kid or small frame) riders and room for 1 portable. (Wont be the most roomy ride back seat of extended cab) If anyone wants to rideshare.

I will be traveling I35 North from Owatonna.

Email me if interested cboedecker"at"gmail.com

generally the organizers do not have the decals. they and the other members get them thru "BEEF" at Custom Silk Screening. contact, [email protected] and i promise he will take the best care of you. i and others have been very satisfied with haveing the decals show up at the door almost as soon as you hang up the phone. ... paul

Being that I llive in Rogers (less then 5 minutes from Art Barbarians), I am plan to attend. Last year was my first season of ice fishing with my own portable (a Shappel Rover 2.0), and I am interested in seeing the mods that people have made (especially around lighting). I will be there...

Is anyone planning on taking pics and posting them. I would love to go and was planning on it as I need ideas for my portable. Unfortunately I have to have a kidney removed on Wednesday and won't be able to make it. If you can't post the pictures, could you send them to [email protected]. Hope everyone has a great time.

is anyone bringing a portable that has been insulated with the bubble wrap foil stuff? I am 95% sure I can attend, I will probably have one if not two of my kids along, my youngest is the hunter and fisherman of the two (3 1/2), he is gonna cost me a lot in new equipment ( for him ) and shotguns, etc. Besides, I will need to stop at the Little Cabela's acros the highway before heading home too.....Not for me, for the kids, really wink.gif

Can't wait to put some faces with names.

Thanks nytelyter, I would haul up my voyager, but I have done no alterations to it at all, which is why I am interested in coming up to see other people's handy work. I already have an idea for a middle console, that could double as a seat if neede, but I really like that tackle organizer that came with the voyager.

See y'all on Saturday

Paul and I will be doing an actual modification of a new Otter Cabin starting around 10am This Saturday at Art Barbarians across the free way from the Rogers Cabelas.

You can see Art Barbarians sign from HWY I94 and the actual modification should help out with you who are looking to do your owm modification.

Sportsman Fish Houses will bring some food to grill and Paul is bringing the buns.

Paul will be there around 9am and we will be there most of the day. If you want to stop by early do so if you want to stop by at 2 pm come on by and at least visit for a bit.

It should be a pretty good time.

It's nearly the weekend and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at the get together. I'll probably be pretty tired as I work the night before, but I'll be there as early as I can.

I thought that I'd throw this into the mix. I'm bringing 2 cordless drills, a cordless circular Saw and cordless sawzall. I'm also bringing what I call my Menards. It's my nut/bolt/washer supply which has pretty much every size and length bolt/nut anyone could use. So, it may be a good idea to bring some plywood and other dimensional lumber and do some mods yourself. I don't have enough screws to go around, so it's BYOS. I'll also bring my drill bit collection.

I may also bring a jig saw, however it's not cordless. If anyone has a good extention cord, you may want to bring it.

See everyone there! It should be a great time!

    • As a recovering machinist, I can appreciate that.  If the spec is 0.001 - 0.0015, then clearly the correct measurement is 0.00125, duh…
    • I just figured that it is easy enough to just get a 3 bank so when the boat is not in use I can keep all 3 batteries charged. I have not bough a charger yet, maybe I will give it some more thought. Edit: After thinking this over, with the size, weight, and heat output of the charger (as well as the cost) I think it makes sense to just buy a 2 bank charger, I have a smaller charger i can use on the starting battery when the boat is sitting at home. Forgive me, for i am a retired engineer and I have to obsess over everything...
    • Congrats on the motor!  I think you’ll like it.   I can’t say much on the charger location but I’ve seen them under the lid in back compartments and under center rod lockers.  160 degrees is more than I expected to hear.   Curious why you’re opting for a 3 bank charger with a 24V trolling motor.  Unless you don’t feel you be running you big motor enough to keep that battery up as well?
    • I did buy an Minnkota Ulterra, thanks for the recommendations. I had a bunch of Cabela"s bucks saved up, which helped. Now i need to get an onboard battery charger. Where do you guys mount these things in your boat? The manufacturer I am looking at {Noco genius) says tht their 3-bank charger will run at 160 degrees, seems like a lot of heat in an enclosed compartment? Thanks for any input on this.
    • You're very lucky a troop of Sea Monkey's didn't carry you away.
    • Wasn't terrible at a state park beach. Antelope island maybe.  I wouldn't recommend it as a beach destination tho.  Figured I was there, I'm getting in it.
    • The water looked and smelled disgusting with hundreds of thousands of birds sh*tting in there.  About as gross as the Salton Sea. When I duck hunted there I didn't even want to touch the water.
    • It's kinda gross with the algae in the summer but I got in it anyway.  Wanted to see the increased bouyancy at work.  You can kinda tuck yourself into a ball and you'll just float with your head above water.  When dry off you look diamond encrusted with the salt.
    • We went to the flats too. I dipped a tire on the rental car onto it just to say I’ve been there, but it was still pretty soft from winter melt. After seeing some moron in a BMW suv get dragged out of the muck I had no intention of repeating his stupidity.
    • I've been out on the flats. It's like being on a different planet
