I vote for the army issue boots. Otherwise known as Mickey Mouse boots.
I havent had cold feet on the ice at all. If I did its b/c I wasnt wearing the right socks so then my feet started to sweat.
But otherwise they are the best boots I have ever tried.
One con is that they are heavy but you get used to that. But they are 100% water proof and dont wear out. I think the colder it is out the better this boot performs.
Im sure there are some other people on here that would agree with me on this one.

Ice Kings and Mickey Mouse boots are some good boots. Theres another boot on the market made by Muck Boots called Arctic Sport with a rating of 40°F to -40°F.

Muck Boots are the most comfortable boot on the market IMO. Lightweight, waterproof and they fit like a glove. I've been using the Field Masters this fall grouse hunting and look forward to using them ice fishing.

Lacrosse Iceman (and they have a bunch of other good boots) for both ice fishing and cold weather stand sitting for deer hunting.

Insulated Gortex or maybe a lightweight Sorel/Kaufman for the warm weather ice fishing and cool weather deer hunting.

And then you might need a good light weight leather (Redwing Irish Setter???), and depending on the exact conditions you are hunting in, or maybe the knee high rubbers, or for that matter hip boots.

But to answer the question, Lacrosse Iceman for the cold weather sitting for deer hunting or ice fishing is definately my choice. They are not too heavy that you can't do a bit of walking in them, they are easy maintenance and they are warm.

I have the black mickeys - I've been out in the coldest of cold and my feet have stayed totally warm. I've heard that for some reason the white mickeys tend to deteriorate faster than the black. No idea why. But, the black ones are awesome.

I purchased some Hodgman boots off of hsolist for about $30, including shipping. Here's what they look like:

They come with removeable spikes for walking on ice. Hope they work! Gonna test them this winter.

The ones I used last year are still perfectly good. They're rated to -100°F. They slip on, tighten across the shin with straps, and have a drawstring at the top to keep the snow out. I think they're from Baffin. Never did I have cold feet with those on.

I have the Baffins also. They are a great boot for ice fishing. My feet get cold very easily, but not in those Baffins. I believe there rated at -160. They are more like a snowmobile boot, ruber bottoms, man made tops with no leather. The liners are great too. Just my opinion.
