Jim Hudson
The wife and I got to talking today on some place we would love to go on vacation... for the fishing opportunities of course!! Some great places got mentioned and some ideas are being tossed around for next year.... So I thought I would pose the question to the rest of you... Where would you go for your dream trip of a lifetime? Of all the places we spoke about today, the number one place I believe I want to travel to and fish would be the Nunuvat Territory.. Pristine landscape, where the fish just seem to be endless on the many lakes in this region!! A must do in my book, and hopefully next year!! eyepatrol
I've never been there before obviously, but from what I've seen on TV, Wollaston Lake Lodge looks pretty nice and the fishing seems to be nothing less than spectacular. Never really thought of or discussed it though. Maybe some place in Alaska, that would be awesome too. And one fish I've always wanted to fight and catch is a tarpon. Man that looks like fun! Okay, I have tooooo many dream vacations!
Captain B.R.K
I sit back in my chair, put my feet on the table and close my eyes.............. Where would I want to go? Hummm...I've been to the rivers of Alaska to fish for HUGE rainbow trout and the endless salmon! I have also been to some of US's famous blue ribbon trout waters in Montana, Wyoming and Idaho! One place I believe would be a dream vacation as well : Patagonia, South America! Before my crazy for bass and walleyes, I was a big fly-fishing guy! If I was fishing without a flyrod, whey then it wasn't really fishing to me! I've grown out of that stance in life Patagonia would be the place to be to fish for football size brown and rainbow trout as well as taken in some of the world's most beautiful landscapes! The lush jungles, the glacier colored rivers and the mountains.......... (ring, ring, ring) I wake up and the boss says "get back to work" and I lose my train of thought! What a dream that would be if I could go there some time.
bmc2b
I just got back this evening from mine. I missed the openner here in MN because I was at a wedding in Cabo San Lucas. I went out twice. First time out, one blue marlin (no pic, but released), and a mahi mahi. The second time out, 2 striped marlin. Kept one for some steaks, which have been delicious. This one 96 inches. I guess missing the openner wasn't so bad.
Desperado
It'd be a toss up between Alaska (Halibut and Salmon fishing) OR Icefishing for Sharks in Greenland you'll find it if you search the web for Greenland Shark Challenge
Worst Kid
I would say Alaska for halibut or else go all out in the ocean for sharks! Just remember any vacation where you are going on a fishing excursion is a good vacation!
waskawood
I am taking my daughter on a "once in a lifetime" trip this summer. Northeast corner of Saskatchewan. A mile from the corner of Saskatchewan, NW Territories, Nanuvat, and Manitoba corner. Hasbala lake. I hope to wear her out on northern, lake trout and grayling. Random guy
My dream trip? Standing on that old shaky rear casting deck in the old timer’s boat that taught me to musky fish. Smelling that nasty old cigar in the wind and listening to him complain about Bush (the first one), Reagan and how the new "Graphs" are for smucks that have A.D.D. He said he would use a flasher until the day he died, guess he was right. I would give up many tomorrows for another yesterday in that boat. Other then that it would have to be an entire summer to just fish Minnesota. No work, no money worries, just fish.
traveler
Tough call...Austrailia for huge black marlin I think. Wildly expensive, that one will stay a dream:) More possible; Costa Rica for marlin, sails, roosterfish, then across to the atlantic side for tarpon. Alaska is always worth dreamin' about; one of the really remote lodges would be a blast, but again, too expensive:( I should probably start playing the lottery:)
SpecialK
My dream fishing trip is coming up. Father's day weekend I am renting a boat on Fish Lake south of Mora and taking Pop's out for a day of fishing. There's no way I'll ever be able to pay him back for all the times he's done it for me but it'll still be a great day on the water.

Eric Wettschreck
Korney as it may sound, just like I did when I was but a tiny little kid.Floating down the sunrise river in a canoe. Just me and the dog and a fishing pole and a cooler and a radio. Catching northerns around every corner.Heaven on earth my friends.

Dobber
Back in the late '70s. Went fishing for a week up in Canada with my cousin and my mom's boyfriend. Caught walleye's to beat hell. Drank La Batt's Blue like it was water. Stayed in a cabin that had maid service and serviced the maid. Ahhh...memories.
