Not hearing much

Can't believe I am not hearing much after the Twinks win their last 2 series against 2 good teams. Must be thinking about landing that big one on opener. Loshe only gave up one yesterday and struck out six. Silva gave up a few but still had a solid outing. Now Radke should sit and make room for Larianno. This weekend is tough, but I see a split if not 3 of 4 from our twins.

Well fish I was going to comment on that goofy Hunter the other day when he swung at the first pitch and grounded into a double play right after Mauer gets walked on 4 pitches to load the bases hes dam lucky Blaylock didnt go home first or he really would have looked really stupid any third grader or third grade coach knows you wait til he throws you a strike before you swing but not if Hunter is up there Gardenhire is a level 2 coach period.

The Twins lose, Mitty is unhappy.

The Twins win, Mitty is unhappy.

Hunter is hitting well, Mitty is unhappy.

Hunter hits .517 the last 8 games, Mitty is unhappy.

Radke give us an early home run, Mitty is unhappy.

Radke pitches 7 strong innings, Mitty is unhappy.

Gardy coaches the team to 1 run in a game, Mitty is unhappy.

Gardy coaches the team to 15 runs in a game, Mitty is unhappy.

Twins get swept by Detroit, Mitty is unhappy.

Twins take 2 of 3 from Detroit and Texas, Mitty is unhappy.

Moral to the story I think Mitty is just a very unhappy person. Cheer up go fishing and if the Twins make you so unhappy stop watching.

Hey Buzz and Drave,

You know I got my ears on, good buddies. Do you guys know of a good hardware store in St. Paul that sells brooms?

Just kidding, though the way my boys are playing, there may be a clean dugout in the baggie dome after my beloved leave with a sweep. Big bad Jon is going to the mound tonight and it only gets worse from there with Big Fat Freddie (pardon my Queen-ism there), Buehrle and Vasquez waiting in the wings, though you do catch a break with Contreras on the DL. OK guys, prediction time, how many taters do you think Thome will get in the 4 game series, I think 4 is the over/under. Talk to you after each game, I'm sure and as usual...YOU CAN PUT IT ON THE BOARD...YES! Windy

Nice job Nofish....

Mitty,

The exception to that 3rd grade rule is when you have a power hitter, on a extended hot streak, batting 4th in your order, you do want him to swing away. What did you want Hunter to do? Take a strike, then go down 0-1 in the count and end up seeing garbage for the rest of the at bat? Not a great idea, especially for a guy who's fatal flaw is chasing bad pitches when he is behind in the count.

I will admit that I have been out of town burning my skin at the Phoenician Golf Course and did not see the game. Was it a good pitch to hit? If so, bad pitch selection but still not a bad idea to go up swinging, just make sure it is a strike.

As a big doofus Minnesota football coach once said....

Enjoy the season!!!

Windy,

Unfortunately the weather is nasty as is the White sox pitching! I say sox take 3 of 4, were lucky to win two games, if we do it will be from Santana and Baker... Radke & Silva will get rocked and Thome will not homer in three of the games but will hit 3 against Radke before they yank him and put in Crain who will also give up another Thome tater. OUCH!

Windy, I think I will be AFK this weekend as will many other FM'er on this HOLIDAY grin.gif weekend, usually am away from this site on the weekends, but I will be looking forward to your commentating of the games monday morning.

My prediction is if we get a win it will be tonight, but Garland will be tough. Usually twins at home, with Santana pitching would be a lock, for a sure win, but not sure if I can say that for tonight.

I dont think will see pitchers duals but maybe lots of runs? (hopefully from both teams and not just one)

Just want some good baseball to watch, or listen to.

Buzz,

I guess Judy showed up tonight instead of Big Jon. I ain't seen a beatin' like that since somebody put a banana in my shorts and turned a monkey loose (pardon my Vegas Vacation reference there). Thome was a little off center on YO-HAN, like you said, warning track power. I look for my boys to fatten up on the rest of the Twinkie pitching staff so this should be a pretty good weekend. I still like Thome to hit 3 or 4 taters this weekend. Too bad YO-HAN can't pitch everyday. It's tough when you only have one real pitcher. I got to like our chances with the remaining pitchers for the next three games and I'm sure you will agree, reluctantly. Talk to you later and as for tonight...YOU CAN PUT IT ON THE BOARD....NOT! I am still freegin rolling on that one!! Funny as H.E. double hockey sticks! I agree, the Sox will fatten up on atleast Radke and Silva the way they have been pitching confused.gifconfused.gif I have some hope for the kid however... Baker could surprise you guys. It could be 10-1 turned around tonight, Radke gives upa HR in the first three innings to somebody tonight.

ok here's my prediction-- Santana EASY over Garland ,Ha

As far as the rest of the pitching matchups--Average against average all the way across the board. TWINS catch a break not seeing Contreras this time, as he is the only topline pitcher over there.(there is probably a difference of opinion about that though) So the question is: can the TWINS average hitters hit their AVERAGE pitchers better than their AVERAGE hitters hit OUR AVERAGE pitchers?I expect a split series although I am hoping for better than that, as we are due to have some breaks go our way for a change. The BIG KEY will be our pitchers not letting their 2 dangerous hitters(Thome and Konerko) come up with anyone on-- and a high hard one once in a while would help to keep them off balance a little. We will see..................... smirk.gif

Did Radke deliver the beat down on the White Sox again tonight?! 18-5 total runs in Minny's favor, maybe we need to play the good teams more often? Whatcha thinkin' Windy?

Buzz,

What the heck are they putting in the water up there in Twinkie land. Has the entire team been drinking from Juan Roid-Con's bottle or what? If the Twinks keep this up and sweep my beloved they will find themselves solidly....at .500 and still 4.5 games out of first. I keep thinking the Kitties will come back to earth and start playing like the Kitties we know and love but they are out of their minds against the Tribe, who talked a good game last year but have dissapointed so far this year. Congrats on the two games so far, I guess the "beachballer" came through. I guess Radke is safe for another 6 days in MN. Like I said last year, if a roller coaster just went up it would be an awful boring ride. Peaks and valleys my friend. Enjoy the weekend and here's a big wet kiss to all the "mothers" out there tomorrow. Windy

I just think the Twins get up for the good teams and have letdowns against "supposed" lessor teams. We'll see how hi ho Silva does tonight against the champs from Cabrini.

buzz, do you think our twins can actually hit in three strait games? Now that would be a sight to see and having it happen on national tv would be better. Then again, i will be happy if silva just pitches good and we get a couple runs. We need to keep windy quiet for a while, the season is to long to hear him ranting and raveing already.
