Gissert
I drove up I 94 on Friday, and the ice line seemed to be in the Alexandria area on the smaller lakesd. Latoka was 90 percent ice free on the north lobe, Lobster was still pretty well covered but cracking up. Most everything in the Battle Lake area was carrying nearly 100 percent coverage yesterday, but the wind was moving the ice a bit. My home lake was begining to break open yesterday afternoon, and I would expect most of the lakes in that area to be clear by the weekend.

BobT
When I lived up dat way up nord, we used Lake Superior water in our radiators. It was less costly than comercial anti-freeze, don't ya know.Bob

cybermuskie
There are some small lakes open around here. A windy day would open some others. I did notice that a pair of loons made it back on the lake I live on even thought it's not all the way open!

gunflint
Still solid ice on the Gunflint Trail. The creeks and rivers are flowing good. Still lots of snow on the north slopes. This is a good exercise in patience.

Sportland_Bait
We are pretty much open everywhere here in Brainerd/Nisswa. I drove by Gull last night and couldn't see any ice. So if there was any, it'll be gone today. Our small lakes have been open since Saturday.Jason Erlandson
