0 FISHER ED
I buy all my tubes from Uline. I get the 4x4 square tubes and then split them at the seam so I can make then into a triangle. Doing this is cheaper than buying a triangle right off the bat. The problem you'll run into is the USPS or UPS maximum length and girth measurements. When you start shipping 1-piece rods, your shipping charges get pretty high and it's hard to pass that onto the buyers. I try to stick to 2-piece rods. One thing to do is go to the USPS web site and play with their "calculate postage" section. Just pop in your ZIP and a ZIP for some other city and then plug in some measurements. Select the "large package" option to do this and it will allow you to enter measurements.Good luck and hopefully the rates won't scare you too much.Ed

0 harvey lee
A little more money and you buy a lenght of thin wall PVC and tape the ends closed.I have never had any damage to a rod shipped in this manner. All other ways and you will more than likly recieve damage. The rod builders Ive : used that have shipped, used pvc and arrived in great shape. They would have to run it over with a forklift or semi tire to do damage.Go to a plumbing shop and they should have some of the thinner walled stuff.
