I think it would be a blast to fish a day down south with Hank Parker. I love bass fishing and it would be a lot of fun to hear some of his stories from back in the day. Some of the new guys on the BASS tour would be fun but I have not seen them enough to recognize their names just yet.

I think that the real question is, What pro would fish with me? smirk.gif Al would be my first choice. ( Head bowed towards Brainerd.) My second choice would be Northlander. Now that he's a big media star and all. cool.gif

Without a doubt Bill Meisakomer (yeah, I know I butchered his name) so I could throw the obnoxious SOB overboard when he started telling me how to fight my muskie! For a more enjoyable and informative day, I'd go with Al as well:)

Keith Kavajecz would be my choice. I use to work with Keith when he was a programmer at IBM here in Rochester and before he really knew how to fish. No I did not have a hand in teaching him the finer points of walleye fishing.

I do know that he caught on very quickly and gave up a good job to go out on the walleye circuit.

Even though I've been fishing walleye since high school, 1962, I am sure he could teach me many good things.

If it were a tv guy, I would pick Al Lindner, hands down. That guy just knows fish, sometimes better than they know themselves I think!

If it were an FM Pro-staffer, I'd have to go with Team Otter. It seems he's fished walleyes from south to north and from east to west in this state, and would be very informative at how to locate walleyes any time of the day, any time of the year.

Anyone, there all better than me.

I wouldn't mind fishing with the guy from Infirshman Critical Concepts, Doug Stanke ? maybe? Anywho, he seems to catch a variety of fish under a wide range of conditions and in differnt areas.

Tred Barta so I could punch him in the neck. cool.gif

Man is he annoying.

If I wanted to actually fish with someone I guess it would be Van Dam. He just seems like a guy that you could tolerate being around for a nice long day on the water. There are other pros that might be interesting to fish with, but to try and spend a day with someone that has a huge ego would suck.

    • Yeah it was a beatdown
    • Your kid needs to stay with him!👍
    • My kid was eating in Beverly Hills and ran into this guy. Talked to him a bit and wished him luck in the game tonight.
    • 🤔as a recovering machinist!🤣🤣that must make me a recovering welder!
    • As a recovering machinist, I can appreciate that.  If the spec is 0.001 - 0.0015, then clearly the correct measurement is 0.00125, duh…
    • I just figured that it is easy enough to just get a 3 bank so when the boat is not in use I can keep all 3 batteries charged. I have not bough a charger yet, maybe I will give it some more thought. Edit: After thinking this over, with the size, weight, and heat output of the charger (as well as the cost) I think it makes sense to just buy a 2 bank charger, I have a smaller charger i can use on the starting battery when the boat is sitting at home. Forgive me, for i am a retired engineer and I have to obsess over everything...
    • Congrats on the motor!  I think you’ll like it.   I can’t say much on the charger location but I’ve seen them under the lid in back compartments and under center rod lockers.  160 degrees is more than I expected to hear.   Curious why you’re opting for a 3 bank charger with a 24V trolling motor.  Unless you don’t feel you be running you big motor enough to keep that battery up as well?
    • I did buy an Minnkota Ulterra, thanks for the recommendations. I had a bunch of Cabela"s bucks saved up, which helped. Now i need to get an onboard battery charger. Where do you guys mount these things in your boat? The manufacturer I am looking at {Noco genius) says tht their 3-bank charger will run at 160 degrees, seems like a lot of heat in an enclosed compartment? Thanks for any input on this.
    • You're very lucky a troop of Sea Monkey's didn't carry you away.
    • Wasn't terrible at a state park beach. Antelope island maybe.  I wouldn't recommend it as a beach destination tho.  Figured I was there, I'm getting in it.
