Scenic
You guys beat me to this as well. I would also like to welcome JB Lures to the sponsor list of FishingMinnesota. Over the last few years JB Lures has grown to become a very common household name in the fishing industry offering quality products. You can find them in most bait and tackle stores throughout the area. Glitter Glows, Ants, Spiders, Tear Drops, Horizontal Teardrop, Lil’Buggers, the ORIGINAL Gem-N-Eye, varmits, pro-varmits, Jig Eyes...wow this list could go on and on. That is not even touching the summer products that this company offers! We will get into that later because it is ICE season right now. If it swims, they make a product for it!! They bring to FishingMinnesota a very well rounded line up of quality products and they listen very close to what the anglers are looking for. Check out their HSOforum at www.jblures.com That HSOforum is getting a face lift at this time and the new one is expected to be up in the very near future. From their site you can check out many of their products. Also watch for their “Specials” that will be changing all the time. Welcome to FishingMinnesota!!! Sportland_Bait
Tom and Sam are great people and have a great line of tackle. Year in and year out JB Lures is one of the best selling and top producing lines of tackle that we stock on the shelves of our shop. When it comes to walleyes, crappies or sunfish I always have a JB Lure tied onto one of my rods.Jason Erlandson

Borch
Awsome news!! Another quality line of fishing products. Their lures have been in my boxes for years. A favorite of mine is their gem n eye.
CrappieJohn
I just got thru looking overa very complete selection of JB lures and must say, they are really a quality product. The Jig-Eye, the first cousin of the Gem-N-Eye, with the treble hook will surely be put to good use in the walleye quest. The trebles are also glo-coated.And the horizontal tear teardrops are going to be super effective loaded with waxies or a finesse plastic. New stuff always seems to gather my attention, but this productline has got me kicking already. What really amazes me is the catalog. I had no idea of how extensive the tackle line was until I got my mitts on one and all of this is American Made. The quality of this tackle is stunning. Stradic
Not only American made, but Minnesota made. I've been stopping in at JBLures in Winthrop for years. They have an awesome, awesome selection! Welcome aboard.
koeps
I've had Tom's (JB's) stuff in both of my stores for years. they have been the most innovative tackle company that I have dealt with. Just ask some of the larger companies on where they got their designs from--they copied JB's. Congrats to them--miss seing Tommy on the road tho--later Tom---bill

CNY Tim
JB Lures package arrived yesterday and all I can say is WOW! I really don't know where to start? But here goes.. The hooks are extremely sharp and strong, the paint on these puppies is fantastic but I'm more impressed with the variety and color combinations and the addition of glitter. Someone at JB did there homework on these babies. I spent last night prepping these baits for that first ice trip of the season. I am impressed with the Big Max (vertical)in size 6 in the chartreuse-org glow and the chartreuse green glow pattern... The Lil Buggers another (vertical) jig that should be in everyones arsenal and I believe every size will do the job on panfish handsomely. The design of this jig and it's ability to descend quickly rivals that of the pounder but the quality of hook is much better with JB's Lil bugger. Quite frankly it's a must have! Another good looking vertical jig is the Glitter Glow, the compact and streamlined shape make it easy for you to get up and back down quickly and the smaller size #10's and #12's are perfect for panfish plus another feature is the sticky sharp bronze hooks. In my opinion there's not a bad color in the bunch! Another vertical option for panfish is the Rain-Glo tear drop jig. Again the same fish catching paint scheme and strong sticky sharp gold wire Mustad hooks with the strength to penetrate and hold on! The last two vertical jigs that have serious potential for bluegills and crappie are the Ants and Lunar Grubs. Segmented in the center are the Ants. The Lunar Grubs have multiple segments that when undulated will drive panfish crazy. These molds that JB Lures incorporated in to both jigs allow for a lot of vibration that helps attack the panfishes lateral line and yet the small offerings they represent make for a hungry gill to make an easy meal out of. The Lunar grubs come with an ultra sharp red hook and the Ant is equipped with vibrant rubber like legs aimed to tickle plenty of bluegill's fancy. Now if you want horizontal lure's for ice fishing panfish check out JB's Horizontal Teardrop, try this tipped or T-boned with your favorite plastic in line or live bait and you've got a double duty jig that has a great swimming action plus flash from the nickle plated back and JB's hot glow colors standard. On to the big boys the Angel Eye Jr. minnow flat out works on big perch I recall using this lure years ago and it caught some of the nicest big jack perch on a lake that is known more for bluegill and crappies. My favorite color is the Chartreuse/orange 1/8 oz, Angel Eye. Equipped with super sharp red VMC hooks the fish bite and can't let go. On to a bait that is new to me but won't be for long is JB Lures Rattlin and Pro Varmits. These spoons are the perfect size for perch, crappies and walleyes. The built in glass rattles on the Rattling-Varmit are super loud and will be ringing the dinner bell loudly for walleye, perch and crappie. Gem-N-Eye, Jig Eye, Spider Ants, Hot Heads, Micro Weasels the list is endless and just the way ice anglers like it. J.B. Lures delivers American quality through and through! The bottom line is Tom at JB has got you covered with every option, style, and color you need to be a sucessful ice fisherman and have more fun. The choice that Tom has put together to incorporate into the Panfish #8 and Walleye package are proven fish catchers and what make's it nice is he's done all the homework for you. Scenic
JB Lures also offers a great line of summer products that are designed for just about every species of fish you can think of. If is swims they make a lure to fish it. They are very proud to say every thing is made right here in the USA.
Wiskers
Jeff, Them Eye jigs are the bomb... I'm gonna have to hunt you down soon.... Stocks are very low.... I got a big LOW tourney comming up.... I have to have the advantage..
Matt Johnson
I really like the Rattling Varmit from JB Lures. The rattle is pretty loud and you get the excellent action that the Scenic Tackle Go Devil gives off, except you have the added noise and vibration for those days when it's needed. A great jigging spoon! The Jig Eye is also another jigging spoon that I'm going to look towards for providing me with positive results on catfish, walleye and smallies. I'm sure a few crappies and perch will fall victim as well Some excellent lure choices from JB Lures for this winter!
hanson
I'll give another warm welcome to JB Lures! Glad to have you as a part of the team here at FishingMinnesota.comI was able to get my hands on a variety of JB Lures tackle and they have tackle to cover just about every aspect of winter fishing. From some awesome panfish tackle to jigging spoons, JB makes a lure that will catch you fish.I'm particularly excited to use the Rattling Varmints this winter. Northland Buckshot spoons have been fairly reputable on Lake of the Woods and I think these Rattling Varmints are going to work awesome on those LOW Sauger & Walleyes.Once again, welcome JB Lures! Scott M
I was wondering when we were going to hear about the new lures...the intruder and a the rabbit hair jig? JB lures was where I stopped as a kid with allowance money on the way back from visiting my cousin in Winthrop. I guess I'll always be a little loyal to JB! Wellesy
If Da Chise is referring to what I think he is it's not a minnow spinner rig but a really different looking spoon/flutter? type bait. I saw a couple at Gander in Hermantown and was going to try them this winter.
