Another Day, Another Vikes Loss

Granted, there are about ten minutes left on the clock, but I do not for one second believe the Vikings can launch a come-from-behind victory against the Bears.

Rather than bash the entire offense for another puke-worthy performance, I'll suggest that Zygi should have brought in a special teams consultant along with offensive and defensive consultants. How do you miss not one, not two, but THREE freaking field goals in one game? How? Granted, the Vikings would still have lost today, but this is ridiculous.

I do have to say this--I've backed Culpepper since he was drafted, but has he ever led a fourth quarter comeback in the NFL? I'm sure he must have, but I cannot think of when it happened.

And how is it that every potential break--Orton's fumble returned for a TD was one--is cancelled out by some idiotic penalty? I was actually expecting every moronic mistake and bad break today, starting with Edinger's first miss.

The way they have completely and I mean COMPLETELY went South, I would rather watch Bull Riding on OLN than watch these underachievers. Can we just forfeit the rest of the season and look forward to the 1st or 2nd overall pick? I would put my money on the Texans having the first pick. I was watching that game on my second screen and Houston looked truly awful--worse than the Vikings, at least on the field. Question is, will the Texans take Bush, which means they want to stick with David Carr, or will they take Leinart and turn Carr loose.

There is also the chance that Lawrence Maroney comes out early. Right, now the Vikings are looking like a top-five draft pick to me.

Start cheering for them anyway, For Cripes Sake we play the fudgepackers this week, AT THE DOME!! We are going to destroy those Fat wife havin', Cheese eatin', Drunkin', Bret Favre Licking', Wishin' they could have been invited on a kick arse cruise on lake Minnetaonka-in', Closet fudge(grenbay) Packers.

One of the few Viking Fans still there with you Big Island Dude. Yes, I agree embarrassing was the way every Viking fan feels. Just have to look at how they played every game this year though. I can't see where anyone can blame Daunte. What needs to happen is let the poor guy have some time. Heck the guy can't even do a three step drop with out 8 guys in his face. It's hard to believe they can't find someone out of 53+ guys that can give him some protection. Funny thing they come out on the first drive and Daunte's rolling out and funny thing it works. HMMMM wonder what the coaches were doing at that time "having hotdogs and beer" Just don't understand the play calling. The best thing out of the whole season will be that even after 3/4 of the way through the season they will still only be a game out of first. Not saying much for the division though!!!!!!! The reason people are jumping off the ship is that they aren't even trying. They've already packed it in for the season. I am a die-hard Vikes fan, but this team has no heart, and no discipline. They get embarrassed every game.

I've always stood behing Daunte, but not anymore. Time for him to sit a few games. Not saying he shouldn't be the starter, but he needs to watch from the sidelines a game or two.

Thats a whole lotta trash to be talkin for a team thats playing as poorly as the vikes are, Ill just keep waiting till my team has some consistency before i start in I wouldnt bet on either one of our teams for next weekends game and if the pack does by chance win I think Ill still keep my yap shut as neither one of our teams are anything to be boasting up.

Ditto, bareback....our friend, BigIsland, doesn't show up as often as most of us (thank God for that) but he usually comes in with both guns a blazin' and his eyes closed.

I have tickets to the game this weekend and I can't believe I am not excited to be going. I will go and cheer them on the best I can but their is a level of disatifaction I have never felt before, including the Les Steckel year.
