Slyster
I read a post here recently... about how well "sweet beavers" are performing (I believe it's a plastic) so I asked about it today at Gander (not sure how knowledgeable they are...) and the salesman said he has never heard of it.So..... what are they and where do I nab some? basser
They are another creature/craw type of bait - work well for me. I ordered mine online but I did see them at Capras. You can check them out at reactioninnovations dot com. They are the makers.
FishinBill
I googled sweet beaver and found a store that had some in stock and bought a few bags. they work nicely t-rigged. they have a nice little grove down the middle of them that you can lay your hook on to make it weedless. Captain B.R.K
I picked mine up via internet and have used them the last few times out unweighted! Skipped em' around docks and reeds and have done well. I bought a variety of colors in the bigger size.

Captain B.R.K
I've got that color!!!!!!! What's neat about these baits is they have some neat color scheme's that I think look good...just not sure if the fish think the same
Slyster
Thanks! I need to pick me up some of those. They look pretty slick. If I use tubes and worms/senkos primarily.. anyone with experience know if they are REALLY worth getting?
JPSavage
As I mentioned in an earlier post I have been having outstanding success with the 3.5 inch smallie beaver. A subtle bait with little action , but, the bass seem to love em.The 3.5 inch also works great on a skirted jig.
Slyster
OK.. this is an old post.. but now I have a bunch of these things... they are really nice.. but HOW do you rig them? Any tips?
Hodgie
I rig mine with a shaky head jig. Caught this one last week on it.
Deitz Dittrich
Sly- like any plastic lure, the rigging is only held back by your imagination! I would say the most popular way would be to rig it as a texas rig. A sliding worm weight and a offset worm hook. It would work great on a carolina/stupid rig too. jimbo80
I fish em quite a bit. I Texas rig them most of the time, or they work great as a jig trailer. I will also rig it weightless with a 3/0 offset hook. It falls very slow with a great action. I also rig them on a jig head. I can't remember what they are called, but I think its called a touchdown jig or something. It has a plastic keeper peg on it. Hope this helps. TurnUpTheFishing
I rig them up texas mostly. I find myself rigging them backwards alot. I like the added action it gives off.
bassNspear
I am like everyone else....kinda. I use these baits alot around docks, where i am throwing them weight less, or upside down They work great when you are fishing reels where you can swim the bait threw the reeds. I have had great luck with them, the probem is they get soft, and you can go through alot of them!!
