Funny Fishing Commercials

This is just another topic to get us to opener.

Have any of you guys seen that evinrude commercial where two guys are out crussing in a new boat outfitted with a 200 horse Evinrude. They are going so fast that the drivers clothes blow off and all he is wearing is a pink thong. Believe me it looks even worse than it sounds. Fishing commercials have been funny for years but this one takes the cake.

Any other funny fishing commersials you guys remember from the past? ff

That is one of the funniest commercials I've ever seen.

Now that is a funny commercial and I also think it takes top honors.

I also like the Rapala commercial where the bass is driving a T-Bird and being chased by cops. Then pulls up to the water and is like "Dang, he got away!" Then the other cop is like "Ohh no he didnt!(Holding a rod/DT lure)" Lol I get a kick out of that one too!

I like the one with all the guys on the dock praying, saying how if they catch a big fish they will realease it and get a replica made, if there wife says its ok.

Funny story behind that one, my dad told me the other day that it was filmed at a resort on LOW that they stayed at one time, course he was probally talk'n but ya never know.

The bass driving the car is great to.

What about the ESPN commercials where the singing bass and talking and the one is working out and the other one asks him if he is going deep sea fishing. I laugh every time i see that one.

Speaking of LOW, it does remind me of Zipple Bay. They have a number of cabins and docks lined up along the bay like that.

I love that "guys praying on the dock" commercial. It is just hilarious. I'm thinking about memorizing that one and using it each time before I go out.

That would be my favorite and in a close second would be guy that catches "the bass of a lifetime". I love the look on his face when he sees it jump out of the water and when he says "holy moly" and "get the net", and then at the end they show a picture with the bass in the boat and it takes up the entire boat. That still cracks me up evertime I see it.

Those are all my fav commercials. i hope open water is here soon cuz i'm going nuts just thinkin' about it. thank god we have all those fishin' shows to watch.

I may be simple minded, but that's alright...being a lab owner maybe, but I laugh every time I see the commercial with Ron and Raven. When Raven wants to take the pontoon and Ron wants to take the "serious fishing" boat, but Raven wins and gets to drive the pontoon... while Ron says " go left, go left"

I forgot about that one when they are all at the dock praying before they go out! I have only seen that one once though. I laughed and also thought about memorizing it to say before I go fishing! Thats one of my top 3! hehe LOL

I also like some of them from ESPN too!

There are some other commercials out there also-

Ugly Stick has some decent ones. There are a few with bass guys jumping into the water (why??). I know there are more, they are just not popping into my head right now.

There was one years ago with two guys who had been fishing all day. One guy says to the other "if I make one more cast my arm is going to fall of". The other guy says, "shut up and fish you big baby." So the first guy takes a big cast and sure enough, his arm flys of into the lake. His fishing partner looks at him in disbelief and says " i'll get the net."

I remember a comercial that had a bass fisherman fighting a big bass and it broke his line. There's some sad music in the back ground and the fisherman gets mad and breaks his pole in two and throws it in the water. Then he kicks his fish finder in and then his tackle box and so on. It's a really funny commercial but I can't remember what they were advertising. It was either fishing line or insurance...But VERY funny none the less!!!!

A few years back there was one for Rapala where the one guy asks the other one "What-cha using...a shad-rap?" The other one says, "no...river otter". Then he grabs an otter out of his live-well, and sends it loose. I always got a good chuckle out of that one.

The Evinrude pink thong one has got to be one of the best. I downloaded it from their HSOforum.

What about the mastercard one where they layout the cost for the guys to go on an ultimate camping/fishing weekend and when he finally catches the big one and sees it shed a tear he goes soft and let's it go?

It's not a commercial but the old Far Side cartoon with the two guys in the boat as a mushroom cloud is forming in the background. The caption is something like " I'll tell you what this means...screw the limit and forget about the size restrictions"

I love this Rapala commercial from a couple years ago: two fishermen are dancing on the shore to some beautiful classical ballet-type music. Shown about 1/2 speed, one twirls and kicks gracefully as he is picked up by the waist by his partner - its hilarious. After about 30 seconds, a voice calmly says "The new jointed shad raps are out - please try to control yourself." I have it on video tape. I wish they would have published it on their HSOforum.

Wallywalleye, that one is my oldtime favorite. I thnk it is a trilene commercial. The dude flips out and starts kicking everything in sight. He kiks that depthfinder farther than any vikes kicker has kicked a football in a longtime.

Another one that comes to mind is when one guy says to his budy "my wife says if I go fishing one more time she is going to leave me,..... boy Im going to miss her".

The Rapala commercial was taped at Morris Point. They are on the harbor side of the eastern most row of cabins. I recognized it right away the first time I saw it. Both of the e-tec commercials are hilarious.
