Crappiechaser
My Favorite crappie lure is the Forage minnow mini in the glow red. I like the smallest one I can find. I have also been experimenting with the ratso and shrimpo from Custom Jigs and Spins. But I must not have the touch. Im not used to it yet. Fish'n guy
My favorite crapies lures are firetiger forage minnow tipped with a crappie minnow and a small genz bug with the little tails and half a waxie. My favorite walleye lures are an angel eye with a minnow head and a 1/32 oz marmooshka jig tiped with a smaller fathead. GOOD FISHIN!!!!
rod bender
Dido on the forage minnow and ratso. I also like the marmuskas for gills. Also like the jigs from "your bobbers down", lots of great paint schemes and nice and heavy (even the 3mm) for deeper water.
Gissert
For crappies, and this works for walleyes too, I like the 1/16 ounce Go Devils. I'll tip this presentation with a minnow head. When I am chasing eyes exclusively, I like Angel Eyes first, and jigging raps are a close second. As mentioned above, forage minnows are also an excellent choice. On my second walleye rod, I will run a dead stick system on a Rock N Reel holder. I usually have a 1/47 oz jig or a flourescent #6 hook with a live minnow. Deitz Dittrich
For crappies, I really like the Custom Jigs and Spinns Demon... In a size #8, I also picked up a few the the JR.s Tackle Glow Drop yesturday and am really impressed with the color and paint job... Another that was already mentioned is the Scenic Tackle Go Devil.. just an awesome crappie bait!.. A must have! For walleye, Go Devil in the 1/4 oz again is a must have in my opinon, as well as the Angel Eye JR. Recently I picked up a bunch of the #4 size Demon By Custom Jigs and Spins and they have really put a lot of fish on the ice for me this winter. They have been my go to lure. The flasher spoon By JR's is another great walleye lure that will also work very well as a Pike jigging lure! LuckBites
For crappies my go to for several years has been the #12 Demon with green. I've had good luck with the smaller red glows but none have outproduced the others. This year I have caught most of my eyes on a deadstick with a red hook and fathead. I've had some luck on various jigging spoons but none have kept up with the red hook & live bait. The smaller presentation has been the key for both species! smartguy
For both Crappies and eyes, I've had lots of luck with a chartreuse Phelps glow spoon. Outperformed my orange glow forage minnow 5:1 last night.
Matt Breuer
The Demon from Custom Jigs has been a steady producer for crappie all season. Any of the glow colors including the new mega glow red. Size 4 and 6 are all I use. [note from admin: check the Walleye Kits Click Here. If the crappies go finicky I'll downsize to a shrimpo, which has a slower fall rate and can be twitched softer with a great subtle action! Glow brite blue or pink are my favorites. Size 6 or 8. Check the Crappie or Panfish Kits Click Here. For walleye I like the Phelps Glow Spoons, Custom Jigs Slender Spoons, or Chubby Darters. Size 4 Mega Demons with the gold plated back for 'eyes on a deadstick.
Bass_Bully
Matt, you hit it right on the head. We must have the same tackle box
hanson
I've been getting turned onto jigging spoons more & more over the last couple of years. This may be becoming redundant but Scenic Tackle's Go-Devil in 1/8 oz is my confidence lure right now and has been for awhile. I got 3 crappies the other day on this spoon w/ a minnow head. All were in the 11-13" range. JR's makes a similar spoon with a different shape that has been working good and a Swedish Pimple of all things, size 3, has been very effective lately. Borch
For me it's a lot of the same lures mentioned already. The 1/16 and 1/8 oz go devils. The ratsos and shrimpos are a favorite of mine. I also use the demons on a dead stick. Very good stuff.
IceHawk
My favorites are some of the same lures as alot of the other guys.Walleye: Definately 1/8 oz GO-Devil spoons by Scenic Tackle. These spoons are definately the ticket for me 9 out 10 times. My favorite color is glow red, with the perch pattern following a strong second.Crappies; I am really starting to favor plastics and Customs Jigs and Spins Ratso's,Rat-Finkees,and Shrimpos are my favorites especially while jigging. For dead-sticking you just can't beat the Demon with a small minnow on a Ice Buster bobber.
PERCHJR
For eye's I usually use a Buckshot Rattle Trap tipped with a minnow, works very well!! For Crappies, I used a Red Frostee Glow Jig tipped with waxies, from Lindy, on Saturday at Medicine and just nailed them!! GOOD LUCK AND GOOD FISHING!!! Ed Carlson
I would have to echo what Deitz Dittrich posted. Hit my personal pics right on the head. They fall in line well for sumo perch and walleye too. The original AE's and CJ's are very often my "Go-2" lures. STMA_I_HUNTER
For crappies, it's got to be the demon, and without a doubt for me the go to walleye bait is the Jiggin' Rap.
Captain B.R.K
Deadstick a Custom Jigs and Spins DEMON with a preference to the Upper Red Lake glow and red dot color with a crappie/fathead minnow. This has been super deadly for crappies and walleyes over the past few years!
Lights
My Favorite crappie lure is the Forage minnow mini in the glow red or peach tipped with a crappie minnow. I do not get to fish walleye's enough to have a favoritelure for them.
