Maybe its just me, but this new layout seems a bit clumsy. The old one was nice, if just for the simplicity.

This new set up is alot busier then the previous one, I don't know if that is good, or bad?

Sometimes it is nice to have something that is nice, easy, reliable and totally understandable....kinda like flopping down in your favorite spot, or using a comfortable rod and reel, or your favorite hunting boots, something you are familiar with and used to, your "go to" item.

When they finally give up the ghost, you are not happy about it, but after a time, you adapt and get used to something else.

Take another poll 6 months from now and see what the gang thinks? Maybe keep score to see if you are getting more, or less activity, comparativly speaking, in areas of importance.

If activity is staying steady, or going up, then it's good! If this site is loosing participants, then it's not so good.

If you change the recipe of the sauce, you might change the flavor and people stop using it!

I like the new forum because you can see how many people are looking at the same item that you are! It also seems to give you some more options.

I really like the forum in terms of its informational content. I think it will take time to get use to the protocol and the new format. In the long run, it will probably be just fine.

I guess I don't see how that's changed...

I especially like being able to set it up so I only see the forums that I frequent...with the option to see all forums.

I wish the forums didn't have their own reply bar for each post. It just seems to clutter up the page. You either reply or you don't. Also the new format seems to run a little slower.

I like to look at the forum during my lunch break and with the computer at work (high speed solid connection)it is having trouble loading. Doubt that it is this end. Like the look though and no doubt will have fun navigating all of my old haunts. Thanks for all of the hard work

After playing around with the new format for awhile at lunch today, its growing on me. I'm starting to get used to the look now and there are a lot of cool features.

But it has been very slow for me too and I'm on a fast connection at work. I'm sure the bugs are still getting fine tuned. Other than that, I've got to find a good avatar and I'll be happy. Thanks for all the effort and hard work that everyone put into this! The look is definitely better and easier to read than the first shot a few weeks ago with this new format!

It's growing on me. It'll take awhile to figure out all the features at my discretion, but overall not too shabby. Webwarrior seems to be "johnny-on-the-spot" in regards to questions popping up. Nice job warrior.

A final note: As I mentioned previously, I sure miss the original FM emotocons. I just liked em better. boo hoo

thats because I've spent countless nights / week-ends and every free time debugging and working on this upgrade so I know the in's and outs of this forum Previous 2 times weren't successful so i had to go back to the drawing boards.. Seems like everything is working fine now though

I too like the new format, has alot of nice features. But it is slow loading, We have half a T1 here at work and I have a cable modem with T1 download speeds at home it is noticably slower for me.

It is a little busy, but I think it's ok. I have had trouble loading some of the threads, and we are on cable modem here. Other than that, looks good.
