A White Pine I transplanted as a foot tall seedling that I found deep in the woods 35 years ago. It now sits on the hill overlooking the lake. Probably my only legacy once I pass on.

Old man of the woods! Somebody in Ely did this just off of the Lucky Boy Trail. This is the second one they have done. Somebody cut down the first one according to the rumor mill in Ely. I have been lucky enough to see both of them.

We saw literally thousands of them on shore at Kabetogama. All over the trees and buildings. Don't really remember ever seeing that many before.
