goose89
Got home from work this morning (night shifter)....saw Jim on Gillespie's Woods and Water...went to bed....got up and saw the prayer chain....couple hours later, like a lot of us, felt like I'd been punched in the gut. Very sad. RIP Jim. Prayers go out to the Jim family and friends.

Shack
Jim Hudson helped so many and truly when I thought of the Ice Team, sorry Mr. Genz, I thought of Jim. He was inspiration to me and us all and his loss is a great one to the ice fishing and the entire fishing industry in general. Tragic enough but truly Jim passed doing what he loved. I am so very sorry for Jim's wife and his family but I would only be so lucky if I should pass doing what I truly loved. I have always been envious of Jim with how he conducted himself as staff here at HSO and how he Pro-Staffed himself and his sponsors both on the internet and in real life. Jim’s articles, media, reports and the thousands of helpful threads and posts he created over the years have touched way more than I assume Jim even ever knew. His adventures and writings inspired me along with countless others. Even with his passing I am still envious of Jim because he did leave a mark and legacy during his time with us because he touched all those who came in contact with him. Jim’s helpfulness, generosity, efforts and memory will never be forgotten. Thanks Jim for all you had given and done for us over the years. MikeRaetz
So sad to hear. I had met and talked with Jim a few times this year and what a great guy. He was a true legend and he will be missed dearly. I hope nothing but the biggest fish come your way Jim.
Matt Johnson
Yesterday was probably one of the hardest days I've faced in regards to my ice fishing career and the friends involved with it. Jim was an amazing person. He was one of the best. Sucks big time but God now has one of the best fishing guides up there with him to take him fishing! We love you Jim and see you again someday buddy! Please keep his wife Hannah in your prayers too.
