Chuck Eye Steak, it's whats for dinner!

A couple of Tatonka Dust seasoned chuck eye steaks and shrimp with Mango preserves in cast iron cooking.

Chuck eye steaks getting a good sear while the shrimp and garlic toast cooks indirect.

Served medium rare with blue cheese crumbles...  excellent meal!

Ball tip and chicken goin' on the Weber in a bit down here. Bobber: got rid of that snow on the deck. Had melted underneath, just a few pushes and *WHOOOSH*, across the deck and down the steps it went, slick as could be.

Finishing a few things up out on the deck, on the grill, not dusk yet, about eight minutes to sunset, but a big ol' moon up already high in that eastern sky. Now that's cool.

Please excuse my ignorance, but what is a chuck eye steak? is it cut from a chuck roast? It sure looks good.

AKA Poor man's Ribeye. Cut off the 5th rib; Ribeye's are off the 6-12th rib. Much better than my ball tip!

Looks great Mossy!!! Chuck eyes are my favorite cut of beef hands down. Id rather have a chuck eye than a ribeye.

They are very flavorful but... a good ribeye is hard to beat.

I know I would rather have chuck eye over top sirloin or ball tip

many good 'eye items in this world; rib, chuck, and wall.  Some times my wife gives me the stink also usually when I'm taking a photo of dinner.
