I hear your thoughts and concerns LL, the idea makes sense. If it wasn't for the foodies on here it would be pretty quiet, besides some of the others in outdoor discussions. Ya know I never get on this other than my phone and it brings me back to where I left off so their is no scrolling for me what so ever...

I ventured to silly town late last week and I'd suggest not going there and I am going to try to stay away.  In one forum it illustrates why posts can be unbelievably unhelpful in solving a problem or discussing one.  Ironic since it's the only forum title with the word "discussion" in it.

Here's a hypothetical thread:

"I made Bush's baked beans last night and they were awesome."

"Why are you bashing Obama?"

I agree Silly Town is best when avoided at all costs.  I used to spend more time down there but the act got pretty old after awhile.

If you do find yourself down in the cellar here is your Silly Town user guide.  These rules will help you fit in right away.

1. When in doubt call everyone a hypocrite and a fraud.

2. If you can't come up with a well thought out response simply post a loosely applicable meme that insults the opposing side.

3. The man who posts the most links to articles backing up their position wins.  Although each article will be discredited for being written by a biased publication.

4. Facts are optional and generally just get in the way, feel free to leave them at home. However, feel free to state opinions as facts. If you put your opinion in ALL CAPS that makes it more important.

5. If after a few days in Silly Town you start to get dizzy and find yourself slowly losing hope for mankind don't worry.  That is normal and will pass in time.  Soon you'll be so warped and jaded that you won't notice any more.

In reality Silly Town is like watching 2 toddlers argue over whether the red crayon or the blue crayon is better.  Neither one can give a reasonable argument, neither one is capable of paying attention long enough to hear the other ones side, one of them may soil themselves if they get too upset, usually someone cries, and in the end we still don't know which crayon is better.
