Who would want him...all he does is score goals!

Hefty price tag but he sure does not seem welcome in Toronto even though he leads the team in both goals and assists...ya he is pd $8M but toronto wanted him so bad they pd him a Max Contract for 8 yrs....he's delivered but team has not.

Have a close friend who also played for the Leafs for 3 years and he absolutely hated it...fans are hyper-critical and would hound him in public if he had a bad game or two.

Biggest problem on Kessel is who has the cap room and players to give up?

I hope someone is getting traded and not more picks. At some point, we will need more young talent coming from rounds higher than 4. But, if roster moves are intended to clear space, that implies we'll be adding players instead of replacing.

I really hope MN never turns into this. TOR doesn't even seem to care that they are in perpetual hockey mediocrity. They need to rebuild, but they've put on such terrible contracts that they can't until those contracts are gone. It seems like they though this was the NBA and you could sign one big name guy and become relevant.

I've heard the same things from players too, though not first hand like you. They don't really want to play in a rink where the fans hate you for everything you do wrong and give you nothing for anything you do right. Who wants to play where the fans are throwing their jerseys on the ice?

Nice of Calgary and LA to lose in regulation last night, would be really nice to take 2 more points tonight. And of course keep Colorado scoreless against us for the season.

Wouldnt that be awesome bear! I dont think a shutout is in the cards but a win is a definite possibility. The avs are playing much better. Avs, sens, caps, canes this week.6 pts would be great.

Florida dumps Flieschnmann to Ducks who can use him but end up with Heatley and a 3rd round pick...Heatley has a $1M Cap hit but Fleischmann has a $4.5M Cap hit so Heatley just used as a pawn to offset Fliescmann's larger cap hit....the re-builders are acquiring picks instead of players cuz of the deep draft this year IMO....Heatley just keeps hanging in there

I agree there knoppers. 3 seconds left, absolutely uncalled for. And Coyle didn't even try to fight him, just tried to pull him down to the ice. Angry little ginger. And then landeskog hits Koivu on the bench, glad Koivu just laughed it off.

Really good game though, Dubs played awesome and really kept them in the game. That was a really good eye test for everybody to see that the Wild can play that physical game. Still a big question if they can hold up to that kind of physicallity in a playoff series? I feel like one of the smaller guys would get hurt after a couple games like that.

I'm going to go ahead and call that goal off last night, clearly if Dubs wasn't run that puck doesn't go in. Shutout streak still in tact.

Heck of a fun game last night, Avs probably gave us everything they had and we still owned them. Love our 3rd and 4th lines right now, just amazing depth and everyone is clicking. Granlund line was good too, Koivu line kind of seems like spare parts right now but I don't see how you can break up the others right now. Hope Scandella is ok, seems like he gets hurt every game these days, we need him down the stretch.

Best part of the game is the Wild fans were louder than the Avs fans! That was great to see and hear the "Let's Go Wild" chants.

Roy is pathetic and should be fired. To have a game plan (if you can call it that) like the one he had shows his lack of ability as a coach and is simply not good for hockey IMO. What a bunch of sorry losers!

Credit to the Wild they took all that dirty $hit in stride and beat them again anyway plus Mackinnon got a broken nose out of it.

Teams tend to take on the personality of their coach. Yep the avs has a bunch of classless goons on it. Even Barrie was being a little punk last night.

Landeskog, Roy, and McLeod all donating to the players emergency fund after the game. McLeod should have gotten the instigator and should have gotten a suspension.

The entire reason for that game getting out of hand was the refs letting things go early. Let Vanek get mugged half a dozen times and and you get a free for all. I'm guessing those refs won't be doing any playoff games.

Looks like most of the big trades already went down over the weekend, still wonder if we pick up a depth Dman. Prosser hasn't been terrible but a little extra depth couldn't hurt and shouldn't cost too much.

All of Roy's Jr Teams were just like him too. I also remember that Roy got in a few fist fights on the golf course right about the time he retired. I didn't get to watch the game because I was curling but I assume they have a lot of frustration after a huge let down season.
