For your information I grew up in Decatur Alabama until I was 10 years old. Alabama football was drilled into my head from day 1 so therefore I do not consider myself having ever "jumped" on the bandwagon ever. I was born on the Alabama bandwagon.

The SEC would have fared better if it realized Ole Miss and Mississippi State were the same teams they have always been, and when they beat the higher ranked teams it wasn't because they were football powerhouses, but rather because Texas A&M, LSU, and Alabama all lost their QBs, and Auburn lost it's RB and half it's defense. Instead they opted not to drop those teams beating each other up back very far, and as a result all of them were rated too high at year's end.

I think we are all happy to see AL lose because of the SEC dominance talk over the past years... so to be fair they have had a dominant run (if you believe the "rankings"), but how did the SEC WEST do in bowl games this season, you know the season they could have 4 teams in the final four (according to their hype) Well let's see?

LSU Lost

To be fair the 2 last place teams in the SEC west won their bowl games but the teams clamoring for multiple entries into the final 4 went 0-5... Just saying.

Alabama football is like the New York Yankees...everyone loves to hate them! I don't think the final 4 next year will be much different than this year, except swap out Florida State and add TCU.
