Lost 2 hole scoops down the hole.

1 minnow scoop that was supposed to float. well it sank pretty quick.

too many lures to count.

And I broke a piece on my hub house, but clam was super quick to get me a new piece!

And I had to shovel my truck out more times than I woulda liked!

Lost a gerber multi tool down a hole on devils lake

Broke a rod tip on my meatstick while my som was battling a muskie on his meatstick

Gonna have to figure out how to keep my seats covers snapped on to my otter seats this off season.

How did you do besides losing a gerber devils lake? Took my first this year there and had a blast.

Electronics seemed a bad idea this winter. Although I didn't lose anything other than a few jigs, people with me lost a couple phones, vehicle keys, rods down the hole, and an Ipod. One of my friends, while excited about a big fish kicked his Vexilar into a 10" hole(lucky he was quick and grabbed it before it disappeared)it didn't work so good wet, but he did get a very nice 27 1/2 walleye(little consolation)

Vexilar had the unit back in working fine in less than a week.

Did have a flat on the wheelhouse - so a new tire/rim were in order.

Poked a couple holes in my seat ready fix.

Broke a push button and some rps clips items were warranted with clam.

Broke the clam shovel fixed with rivets.

I'm sure there a couple jigs wandering around.

Thinking back, I've been very luck this season. I lost a few hooks and jigs to pike, but other than that, all my gear is still in working order. My auger was acting up for the first half of the season as it has been since I got it. When it stopped one day, I got so mad I through it as far as I could. A few hours of my temper cooling down, and the thing has ran great the rest of the season.

Lost a bunch of tackle to pike on Red

Can of Mtn dew (turns out they don't float in your hole like a beer does)

Broke a fender on the Yetti (covered under warranty though, got an updated design)

Broke the rope on the old lazer mag as well as the throttle linkage (both fixed with no new parts)

Lost one pole down a hole, luckily pulled it up a different one after tangling with a fish. Second year in a row I've done that one.

Overall not a bad season at all for me as far as ice fishing and equipment goes... The catching on the other hand was kind of a let down compared to the 2012/13 season.

This year wasn't too bad, but what I did lose was annoying. So far, I've lost a handful of jigs, an ice scoop, two buckets, and probably some gear I haven't noticed has gone missing. A few days ago I was pulling my sled back to the car... I went to load it in and noticed that my hand auger had fallen off. I went back to find it, and didn't. That one hurt.

The rope on my Solo Auger on Saturday morning after driving an hour to the lake at 5:30 in the morning, needless to say I was a little torqued. I don't understand why I have so many problems with strikemaster and recoils. The old tecumesh lazer mag express, the cast iron cover where the recoil was mounted in snapped, the next year the rope broke, then a nut from the gas tank got sucked in through the carb and wrecked that Auger, but the new solo and the rope breaks. My dad has a 30 yr old jiffy with the same original recoil components. I follow all the starting instructions and baby my equipment.

Hey Zach or anyone else, regarding the scoops, the best "tool" I have for ice fishing is my "Big Scoop" the hockey stick handled / yellow plastic scoop "scoop". My brother bought it for me years ago and I laughed because of how much he paid, told him he was nuts. ..... Well.... about 8 years later, and I still have it, use it every weekend, and don't need a shovel anymore to bank houses, cause this scoop does it all! It won't sink, can break through ice on top of holes (if not too think of course), and even used it to bang on my atv starter to help start in the freeziing temps once wink

Oh yeah, best part, it is long so you don't have to bend over to scoop, and if you stand on it, it won't break. smile I am not a salesman of it, but after reading some posts, just gotta give some advice to get one of these. They will make your next trip more enjoyable by never failing you. Good luck.

This one ranked up there for me and broken gear including:

  • Winch cable on wheelhouse enroute (Thanks Cloquet Ford for coming through!)
  • Choke cable on sled
  • New In-line real
  • 2 Portable windows
  • My buddies 2 sled trailer (frame cracked in half 2 miles out of Baudette, trailer and sleds are still up there) while I was pulling it

Despite all this, had a great year (of course) wink

Looks like a good buy I think I will try it out

I'm pretty easy on my stuff, so I rarely break much of anything.

I'm still having troubles with my brand new clam hub shelter, but that's not exactly my fault. I've just been too lazy to contact their customer service.

Other than that, I keep losing my favorite expensive tungsten jigs to pike which makes me angry every time, but what can you do. Probably lost about $25 worth of tungsten jigs this year, but I suppose there's not a whole lot I can do about that.

Was it a sled bed trailer? My friends did the same this year, sounds like a known problem.

My Car... Started on fire back in November on my way home from my first day of ice fishing this year. Oh, and I was fishing out of the car because the transmission went out in my truck a couple weeks earlier.

Let's see....

I lost a sinker-style depthfinder somewhere, broke a piece on my propane light, then lost my driver's license for three years. All in one night!

That's about it. Had a good season catching otherwise...

My new strikemaster 4 stroke... Blade snapped and flights bent. And my flasher DURING an out of state perch trip! Strikemaster will fix the auger (for free obviously, great customer service!) and I picked up a new marcum lx 6... PROBLEM SOLVED.
