PurpleFloyd
Darrel Bevell for HC and call the plays. Musgrave has to go. Maybe the ol' gunslinger for OC-QB coach. Ponder and Freeman battle for #1. draft a QB in 3-4 rounds. If Monte Kiffen wants to coach yet and the Cowboys let him go- bring him back to run the Defense. Dan Quinn looks like a quality younger guy too. If they can't get those guys, Bill Cowher or Chucky could be the BAD Ace-in-the hole motivator this team really needs You do realize that he was the OC for the legendary Kick A$$ Offense don't you? And you want to see him bring it back?
LMITOUT
Who wouldn't want the OC for the 17th ranked offense?LOL.

zepman
Sounds like Lovie's going to the Bucs....
MUSKY18
Yup.....Lovie is now the Bucs coach. Everyone is so high on Bevell, but I hope they don't give him more than a glance. The OC from Denver isnt real high on my list either. He has Manning, whom I am sure runs about 99% of the offense the way he wants to. You could put me in the OC position in Denver and they would be just as good. Del Rio I like. He did a good job in Jacksonville, considering he had absolutely no talent on that team. Has ties to the Vikings already. Gruden from the Bengals is another guy that I hope they look at hard. He developed Dalton into a great NFL QB so he can work with whomever the Vikings take in the draft. I'm sure that the current Vikings OC and DC will be shown the door once a new coach is hired and he wants to bring in his own staff.Old coaches like Gruden and Cowher would never even think about the Vikings job. They would want total control over the players/personnel and with Tricky Ricky still calling those shots it just aint gonna happen.
natertater83
Del rio was already here once and didn't do much. he is a nice guy and all but not head coach material, that is why he isn't one anymore. lovie is going to tampa, we need a emotional younger guy that will be guns a blazing. frazier had no emotion good or bad, but until the GM is gone it wont get better. it wasn't fasiers idea to bring in freeman or play ponder as much as he did, that was the GM!! im tired of having rebuilding years, we have a old d line overpaid o line and no QB. im a vikes fan through and through but man it is getting tough. zepman
Stories are coming out today that Freeman, was in fact, a Frazier request. So was McNabb.
FISHINGURU
That is no surprise. We already had plenty of looks at how he chooses his "players that give us the best chance to win". LMAO
JAfish
The Bengals are beat. Jay Gruden has done well with that offense for 3 years and is available now! Reading today that Ray Horton (looks like a thug) of the Browns was disliked and felt he should have been fired, not Chudzinski.
thatoneguy
shanahan If MN hires Shanahan, I will become a Packers fan. The game has passed him by; his last severa years of work are unimpressive at best.Whatever the Lions are offering Whisenhunt, MN should tack on 20% and pray they get him. CaptainMusky
Shanahan would be a terrible choice unless it was his son. The old man is done.I want the whizinator.

What has Jay Gruden done to deserve anything?? 3 first round playoff loses in a row?? Yep, he will fit right in here in good ole MN. The Grudens just like the Ryan brothers are highly overrated. schmitty3
I don't get the point of coming on here and slamming down everybody else's opinions, but never actually giving one yourself. FISHINGURU
I'd take Gruden or Whisenhunt over some of these tools I'm hearing about that are coming in for interviews this week.

I give more opinion than anyone else on here and that's why people like silly me get upset with me. I have stated several times that if I was hiring a coach it would be a guy like Mike Tomlin, David Shaw, Urrban Meyer, or one of the Harbaughs. Fools like me are incapable of an objective thought process of why a person should or shouldnt be added to a professional organization. I dont know how much more I can dumb it down for myself. It is very rare to be able to BUY championships and piece together teams, and its a stupid move bring in old has-been coaches or fancy names. CaptainMusky
Buck, since none of those guys you mentioned are going anywhere "who" is "like" them that "isn't" them?I agree from a personality wise but I have no idea who that is available is "like" any of them.None of the candidates I have seen thrown around anyway. schmitty3
Oh so you would hire a guy that's "like" the best coaches in football. Wow thanks for that great insight. Give us name, who do you think they should hire? Every GM wants a guy like those you stated, but who out there is that guy?
