Its finally here! Its like an early christmas for me. I cannot wait to get in there!

I heard the nils blades bend pretty easy. Not sure if they changed the design or not. Might have to make the trip just to see. Kind of an expensive research trip though.

Thorne, DH, and Tuned Up Customs are all there and I believe each one will be selling their rods (Thorne and TUC for sure).

If its a customer rod, then wouldnt that mean they either build it there, while you wait, or you order it and they send it to you? If they are there and have them in stock then its not "custom"...is it? By this definision all rods would be custom, as someone, somewhere made them, and it was the size you needed. Maybe you are looking for "specialty sized" rods or "unique" rods or "one of a kind" rods...?

Is rifle season 3-4 months long? Do you really think you'd get many folks coming to spend $$ on ice fishing stuff when the suns out and they are still fishing out of a boat or sitting in a bow stand?

Personally I think its about the best weekend to have it. The temps have usually turned by this time of year and got folks thinking winter. Thanksgiving has past and Christmas is still a few weeks away. Regular firearms deer seasons are over, waterfowl seasons have come to a close for the most part and all but the more dedicated upland hunters have hung up their boots for the season.
