Muzzleloader License MN ?

In MN if you have open tags from your general Firearms license do you need to purchase the Muzzleloader License to continue hunting? Or can you hunt using your firearms deer license

In MN you have to buy each license. They need as much money out of us as they can lol.

Different season so differnt license, kinda like archery to gun or gun to ML.

All states I hunt for deer are the same way as Mn.

You do not need a ML if you are hunting zone 601 all you need is a regular firearms season license.

601 is a metro zone and unlimited antler less tags you just need to buy them before the animal is harvested.

You will need to purchase a muzzle loader tag for you unfilled tag to be valid.

yup 601 is unlimited antlerless. i do believe that any tag in the state is good in 601 as well. not 100% though.

where is the public land in zone 601, its hard to find on the dnr HSOforum

There is almost no public land in 601 and what is available usually doesn't allow firearms. You need to have private land access.

You can also hunt 605 but the hardest thing to find is a parking spot when it comes to pubic land

236 you can take 5 deer. 601 unlimted will be out with the bow in 601. Just south of me in different city they can still use a firearm but 300 acres away I can only bow.

I will have the Muzzy out in 236 over the weekend.

From what I found you still need to get a Muzzy tag for 601 even if you Rifle tag is open. I have a couple guys here at work that also just asked the DNR they are to buy a Muzzy tag for 601.

You can hunt firearms goes to dec 1st in 601 after that you would have to buy a muzzy tag
