WTN4ICE
95 Polaris XLT 2up. I pull a Voyager and a otter medium sled and sometimes a passenger..plenty of power...has some miles but still running strong.
Early Riser
I don't trail ride, other than to get to ice fishing spots. I run a 1993 Ski Doo Tundra for my fishing up north of Grand Marais. They are hard to find, but if you can get your hands on one you will find that they are extremely reliable, simple to maintain and easy to free if you become stuck in deep snow or slush. For a one lunger, they can really pull. I have used mine to haul our three kids when they were younger, and a loaded metal sleigh all over the back country to remote fishing spots. I just picked up a 1987 Tundra that is in great shape from a friend that I couldn't pass up. Some guys really like the older Cats as well for fishing machines. If I were looking for a new machine, I would look at the new Tundras, or maybe a Skandic if they are still making them.

HunterPaul76
2006 Suzuki King Quad 700 Good tires, windshield, hand warmers, and winch. The machine is only 603 lbs. and pretty much unstoppable. I have only been stuck once with it. A ten minute ordeal. Some will argue about not get through deep snow. I bust my own path, or how many times have you been on the ice where someone hasnt busted a path, or the wind hasnt blown some snow off? Its amazing how much use you can get out of these things year round. Look around, the prices on used snowmobiles and ATVs are pretty comparable on older machines. Just my 2cents. Xplorer
2010 Arctic Cat T570. If your riding 20+ miles into a remote Ontario lake for trout a wheeler just can't cut it. Good combo trail/fishing sled, and since the rear seat removes, it even makes a decent little off-trail powder riding sled with its 144" track. Fred_Bear
1997 Bearcat 340Why? Dependable and fuel efficient little motor and geared low to pull. Long track, rear rack, fan cooled, 2 up seat, lightweight, (really wish it had reverse but sadly does not) and the best feature... I got it for $800 in great shape with 1700 miles on it. Can't justify dropping a lot of money on a snowmobile that I will only use for fishing.
laportian
92 Polaris Indy Trail 488. Most important feature is that is was cheap. Paid $500 5 years ago. Has a tick over 4000 miles on it. Fan cooled and has reverse. Use it to pull a medium otter sled and all my gear. Only drawback is I wish it had a two up seat.

amateurfishing
my legs and feet, that's all I can afford.....but when the ice is really thick I can move up to my 02 explorer (cause its paid for)
WTN4ICE
A guy at Ultimate Transportation in Fargo made it..works good to carry a 20lb propane and gas can. In hindsight it should have been just a little wider to fit around two milk crates. Cost me 75.00 for materials and labor. It is removeable but it also covers up the tailight ..a simple fix but I live with it.

titelines
1987 Polaris Indy 330. Went halvsies with my buddy a few years back and got it cheap. It works, but only for ice fishing. Doesn't track well and the suspension is hard as a rock. The last time I put more than 20 miles on it I was sore for a week! No reverse and it's only a 1-up, which hurts too. But, it is reliable and not too heavy. For what we use it for it's fine. A new ride is on my list though as I'd really like to take off from my garage and do a lot of trail riding. A 2-up is in order so my wife can go too.
