Scary part is I think he did watch the games. lol

So which is it Buck we have Dominated the Avs or the WILD got there ARSES kicked again plain amd simple.

Take some deap breaths and get back to us..

grin

Ya he probably did watch the games, the problem is Buck is completely irrational. Doesn't seem able to post coherent thoughts without crayon drawings attached and also seems to subscribe to internet sports journalism where one must completely overreact or toss out crazy headlines to get attention or something.

For the Wild to win the next two games - I would think they are watching tapes and they have got to realize the best way to beat Varlamov is above the knees he plain and simply sucks if the puck is in the air. Fact is the Wild are playing a great physical end to end game of hockey and shutting down the AV's quite well. Obviously a 1 goal lead is of no comfort and I really think that Roy pulling the goalie so early is kind of a mind game for the Wild, if they get that under control it's over.

On a side note, when Roy was a player, I respected him, wow he was good. Now that he is a head coach, this guy is a class A douche bag what an egotistical smart a**, all respect lost.

Going in to the playoffs this year I didnt have high expectations for the team. I kind of expected to be at least 6 games and probably get bumped, but probably play well and be competitive.

Being completely honest, if they lose this series now after how these games have played out I am going to be [PoorWordUsage]. They are clearly the better team and Yeo for the majority of the games is outcoaching Roy, but the Game 1 collapse and Game 5 official debacle have us playing tonight instead of readying for the Hawks. I will be disappointed if they lose this series. If someone had asked me before the playoffs if the Wild lost in 6 or 7 games to the Avs in the first round, I would have thought nothing of it, but watching these games play out really has a sour taste in my mouth right now.

but watching these games play out really has a sour taste in my mouth right now.

Its really hard not to be bitter when we had a high probability and legitimate chance to win 4 out of 5 games so far and are fighting for our lives tonight. However all is not lost, we are still alive and playing well we just have to find a way to burry our chances, something the avs have done extremely well. Its almost as if a team that has struggled scoring all year is facing a potential Vezina candidate. winkeek

Avs scored 43 more goals than us in the regular season, they also had a much better goal differential +1 to +30 and that has really played out in this series despite our best efforts. Oh and that McKinnon kid they have is crazy good.

Sounds like Duchene is a game time decision. Might be a smoke screen but he has been skating and could be back tonight. Kind of guessing its a smoke screen and they wait and see if this series goes to game 7.

I agree if he can skate Roy will make him endure any pain he might have..."$uck it up and get out there!"

Hopefully they have been practicing that "Glove Side Shelfer" this morning, seems to be V's only weakness at this point so it going to take some real sniping IMO.

Thats one thing Roy changed on Varla. He really tries to keep that glove hand high. I sat 10 rows behind him for game 3 and at times it looked kind of ridiculous how hi high he had the glove.

So it something they are working on too.

6-0 Wild!

Embellishment?? Give me a break, Parisite took the guy down, but the refs have to come to the Wild's rescue. And Heatley should have taken a penalty at the end of the period too. If the AVs didnt have to play the Wild and the refs at the same time this game would be over.

The guy looked like he got shot with a .50 cal rifle and parise barley touched him. That would be a more accurate description

He actually JUMPED up in the air to try and get the call. It was the definition of embellishment

    • Truly sorry to hear that duffman! I know that feeling.  Keep the good memories
    • Chamois passed away this weekend a couple days short of her 13th bday. What a great dog to hang out with here at home and on distant adventures. Gonna miss ya big time my little big girl.
    • Sounds pretty sweet, alright. I will check them out, thanks.
    • If you really want to treat your wife (and yourself) with a remote operated trolling motor, the Minn Kota Ulterra is about easy as it gets.  Auto stow and deploy is pretty awesome.  You just have to turn the motor on when you go out and that the last time you have to touch it.   24V 80lb.  60 inch shaft is probably the right length for your boat.  They ain’t cheap - about $3k - but neither one of you would have to leave your seat to use it all day.
    • Wanderer, thanks for your reply. I do intend for it to be 24 volt, with a thrust of 70-80. Spot lock is a must (my wife is looking forward to not being the anchor person any more).  With my old boat we did quite a lot of pulling shad raps and hot n tots, using the trolling motor. Unlikely that we will fish in whitecaps, did plenty of that when I was younger. I also need a wireless remote, not going back to a foot pedal. We do a fair amount of bobber fishing. I don't think I will bother with a depth finder on the trolling motor. I am leaning toward moving my Garmin depth finder from my old boat to the new one, just because I am so used to it and it works well for me. I am 70 years old and kinda set in my ways...
    • Dang, new content and now answers.   First, congrats on the new boat!   My recommendation is to get the most thrust you can in 24V, assuming a boat that size isn’t running 36V.  80 might be tops?  I’m partial to MinnKota.     How do you plan to use the trolling motor is an important question too.     All weather or just nice weather?   Casting a lot or bait dragging?   Bobber or panfish fishing?   Spot lock?  Networked with depth finders?  What brand of depth finders?
    • We have bought a new boat, which we will be picking up this spring. It is an Alumacraft Competitor 165 sport with a 90 horse Yamaha motor. I will be buying and installing a trolling motor,  wondering if I can get some recommendations on what pound thrust I will want for this boat?  Also, I will be selling my old boat, is there a good way to determine the value on an older boat ( mid-80's with a 75 horse 2-stroke  Mariner motor)  I will appreciate any help with these questions.
