CaptainMusky
BB, with all due respect 2 losses in the last 11 games is hardly a collapse. Need you be reminded of ties again? Its obviously lost on you.For the record its not my job to care what Yeo, Leipold, etc think or where they feel they should be. Of course their goal at the beginning of every season is to win the cup. If its not they won't be employed long. Those things take time. Do we need go post the roster under risebrough again for you to see how bare the cupboard was?I get it you are one who thinks that Parise and Suter with their big contracts = cup. Those of us in reality know it takes far more than that.
bbfenatic
Nice win....hopefully the floodgates have opened and scoring won't be an issue. Looks like we found a new overtime shootout phenom....Stoner
Bear55
We just destroyed the Isles the cup is OURS!!!! BB look at the standing above us, the only surprise there is Colorado and they are good this year, we need to get better to win the cup no matter what the "hockey people" say. Ya we are close to LA but they just won a cup and made the conference finals last year, not exactly chump change.Fun win tonight, I think the blowout was good for us to get some offensive mojo back. Don't even mind that Haula was scratched, I think it had more to do with rolling 3 scoring lines and getting Brodz down on the 4th line. Obviously you like to babble and have not followed my hockey posts very closely but love to bash me, never have I claimed Parise & Suter would carry us to the promised land and I have praised Fletch more than once for taking us out of the abyss DR had us in. I just posted how I thought we should be in 5th or 6th place and thought we should get out of the 1st round of the playoffs and put up a fight in the 2nd round...go back and read my last few post then get your facts straight before posting again please!!!! CaptainMusky
get your facts straight before posting again please!!!! I'm not the one who has trouble with facts. You talk about this "collapse" that the wild have supposedly been in the midst of the end of this season. How so? I gave you facts 2 losses in 11 games how is that a collapse?Back to the game, glad Fontaine was back like I hoped and he produced. I thought it was a real compelling when the fans were cheering "we want Moulson". I have to believe Garth snows days are numbered there. Far too many gaffs to keep that job.Now let's scratch brodziak and put haula in his spot.

bbfenatic
Agreed, Brodz is looking more and more out of place out there...like he is playing drunk or something
bbfenatic
I thought the coaching tonight was fantastic... Agreed, line changes shook things up a little, anything to strike a spark. NYI is no juggernaut but we all remember playing those "lesser teams" that were confidence builders and "stat padders". Hope they got that MOJO back. Need to put back to back efforts together and NJD is not as good as we are.
CaptainMusky
Agreed, Brodz is looking more and more out of place out there...like he is playing drunk or something To me it looks like he doesnt even care. Its odd to think that a few years ago he was a 20 goal scorer. That Stoner goal last night was completely awesome. I was laughing the second I saw him get the feed from Koivu (nice pass). The defender was a full line away from him, but caught up to him. I replayed that back like 5 times.
Bear55
Back to the game, glad Fontaine was back like I hoped and he produced Ya I like Fontaine up there as well, he has been great for us this year, a very good complimentary player who can snipe and hustle, hopefully those 3 can click. OnAFly
Should we be a 5-6 seed? Not when it takes 105-110pts to get there like it will this year. There was just too much beating up on the East by the West early in the year. We lost a couple of those games early while the top three in our DIV were pulling 2 out every game. We are at 82pts with 13 games to go. If we win out, we end up with 98pts. 3rd in our DIV is at 93. It's just not going to happen. Can we still make it out of the 1st round? Depends on if we keep up our ways and play ANA or if we slide and play STL. We don't match up particularly well with either, but have a much better shot against ANA. It's done in 5 against STL (my guess).
hoppe56307
13 x 2 = 26 82+26= 108 Just sayin.

PierBridge
What a crazy night in the NHL. Luongo had 28 saves ... IN THE 3rd Period. Carolina won their game despite being outshout 19-0 in the 3rd period. Vanek finally lit the lamp for the Habs...3 times. Gotta love hockey.. Bear55
Ya any time the Wild put up 6 you know the universe is off balance and crazy things can and do happen.
bbfenatic
Ya any time the Wild put up 6 you know the universe is off balance and crazy things can and do happen. LOL...couldn't have described it better myself. I think the Moon was in the 7th House and Jupiter must have been aligned with Mars. Sorry you guys are too young to remember that one! 10,000 Casts
Who do you guys think we have the best chance of beating in the first rd? Blues, Ducks, Avs or the Sharks?
CaptainMusky
Ducks or Hawks IMO. I say hawks cuz we have owned them this season but playoff time is another level.
CaptainMusky
Its important to protect players but that call on Prosser was awful. 5 min penalty and the wild held them off.A lot of perseverance tonight down 2 twice and claw out at least a tie. Nice effort at the end of a road trip against a very desperate team.
fishing tech
2 things, Does Brizgolov look out of it sometimes to you guys? And did Moulson play in the 3rd? I don't think I heard his name 1 time. They got a point. Ya, the Prosser deal was a bad call but the ref doesn't get to see the replay. If Prosser goes down on that play does NJ get a charging penalty?Nice home coming for Parise. CaptainMusky
I think Molson was noticeably absent tonight as well. I don't know for sure but I think that penalty was called after the whole thing played out.Bryz played great most of the game but I am not a huge fan of the "deep" playing style he has. That cost him at least one goal tonight.
Bear55
Lucky to get a point, save for Parise it seems like everyone was sleepwalking through the first two periods. Its scary how scary Jagr is at 42, makes Heatley look like he is 60 out there.
fishing tech
Heatley's jersey should say orange cone on the back. Briz is always off to the side, ie his outside leg is way outside the post on the side he is covering when he is down.
