OnAFly
wow, I can't believe they are just tossing them. They could sell them for a buck a dozen and make...well only $350 a week, but still.
eyeguy 54
25000 good ones a day. too costly to save them. 20 and 10 is perfect.

Rick G
Never tried a turkey egg, but sounds interesting. How is the taste compared to chicken eggs? Are they brown or white?
eyeguy 54
white and they taste the same. tough peeling but smokin anyway. i read online that they are more runny than chicken so good for omelets. also read we can freeze eggs up to a year and then use them. interesting. delcecchi
If I remember correctly, eggs that are too fresh are hard to peel. Maybe leave in refrigerator for a week or two...On the other hand there is this...Published March 1, 1999.What's the best way to peel a hard-cooked egg?It is often said that the fresher the egg, the harder it is to peel. But we didn't find much of a difference when peeling young and older eggs in our test kitchen. We contacted the American Egg Board for advice and learned that the best way to peel an egg is not to strip off big pieces of shell (which is what we had been doing) but to crack the egg all over, breaking the shell into tiny pieces, and then peel off these little bits. The Egg Board also suggests starting to peel from the large end of the egg, which has an air pocket. This lets you get under the membrane without digging into the white. The egg's surface will be much more pliable after cracking, and chances are that the whole membrane, shell and all, will come off in a clean spiral, leaving behind a scar-free beauty. eyeguy 54
i've peeled millions of chicken eggs the same way. fresh and old. didn't work on these big buggers very well. very tough membrane. if I ever get more I'll try something different. like scrambled... Archerysniper
add one teaspoon of baking soda to the water it will make the shells come off easier. Don't ask me why,it just works
