Kevin Love NOT HAPPY!

What a joke. After hearing about some of the stuff that Taylor and Kahn have pulled, I wouldn't blame Love for leaving. I didn't blame KG for not coming back either. Love just seems to be the type of guy that I can always root for, much like KG has been.

Very disappointing to hear this from Love. Maybe he is correct in what he is saying, i'm not sure. But as a professional the timing of his comments are disappointing and unprofessional to say the least. They are in the middle of a season and very possibly a playoff season. He kinda threw his teammates under the bus as he said there's new guys every year and blah blah blah. Is he supposed to be the leader of this team?? Remember, he broke his own hand doing knuckle push ups. If I was paying him millions, I'd be little ticked too!!

The "star" thing is starting to go to his head. He needs to start stepping up and leading this team. No more whining to the officials and not getting back on D every time he misses a shot. He is worse than Lebron and Kobe, just run back on D and don't leave your team 5 on 4. I don't get the timing either, they are still at .500 and in a playoff spot all without Rubio, plus him being out a an extended time. Then you add the fact he hasn't been great so far either. He is shooting 38% from the field, 21% from 3 point line, and 67% from the charity stripe. How bout he steps out and say he need to play better, not throw his team and organization under the bus.

KG has devolved into a classless screamer over the past several years. I can't even watch him anymore, let alone root for that spaz.

This is not a story and not a worry, for me at least. Love expressed some concerns and criticisms publicly (stupid, he should have talked to the team and management alone) and the media ran with it. His rebuttal (as posted above by 4wanderingeyes) proves this is just another pointless nugget of non-info that gets mined by every sports HSOforum around and twisted until it makes news. Love wanted all-star treatment, and he got it today...blow your nose, make the news, tie your shoe, make the news. His squeaky wheel got greased, so I hope he can just move on now. Let's get Rubio back and start rising above .500. Nothing cures potential controversy and heals distractions quicker than W's. Either Love learns from this (as he said he would) and this goes away for good, or he loves the attention and this is the start of many more of these stories to come. His decision about that will ultimately decide his long-term fate in MN, I believe.

He did the same stuff in Minnesota, the only difference is he was on a team we root for. AJ Pierzinski was the same way when he was a Twinkie. Other than KG's game not being as good, which is understandable, I just don't think his personality has changed.

On the bright side, being as I'm a bandwagon Heat fan I can now look forward to Love taking over for Chris Bosh in a few years.

I actually thought Love got a great deal. He'll make over $60 million over the deal but it doesn't lock him in to a team that at the time was looking prett bad with sparse talent and questionable coaching. I know some guys want the security of a longer deal but at the time he signed it the Wolves were pretty far away from being competetive. The deal he signed would allow him to give it another couple years to see how the team develops and then if he doesn't like what he see's he's free to jump ship a year sooner than if he signed the max deal he wanted. And through that all he'd be making a boat load of money.

Personally I'd rather have the freedom to leave a bad team versus one more year of security. Besides if he excels during the life of that contract he's likely looking at another max deal the next time he's a free agent.

I also thought it was a good deal for the Wolves, if Love starts to suck, or get a bad injury, and he isnt capable of being the player he is today, then the team isnt locked into a bad contract either. Either way, I am glad the fans got on him a bit last night for his little media stunt.

By the way Love, if you are going to spout off about how good you are, and that you are the "Star" maybe follow it up with better then 3-17 shot night!!

All these multi-millionaires need to just keep their mouths shut. What does it benefit anyone to spout off......just keep your feelings to yourself and do your job. If your not happy move on when you are able. Just amazes me with the money these guys are making they still find room to constantly complain. If my boss was paying me 10-20 million a year to throw a ball into a hoop I would be more than content even if he was a royal [PoorWordUsage].

I agree with you guys that I think both sides make out pretty good when he didn't sign the max deal...it helps us have flexibility it gives him financial stability no matter what (if he's smart). As long as he doesn't suffer a career ending injury he is going to be offered another monster extension and hopefully we can sign another player (Rubio maybe) to help him and use the max on them...nobody likes to get less then the next guy when they "do more" but when you are talking $62 or $80 million for 4 or 5 years of "work" don't complain to the average joe.....
