I always liked Mike. He played the game the way it's supposed to be played. Hopefully that will rub off on his players.

Yes, catchers make good managers. Heck, they manage most of the game they're playing so they have a bit of a heads up on the rest of the fellers.

I wish Mike well, unless he's playing the Twins.

Yikes...I wonder why they wouldn't wait one more year...they will have a radically new managerial style than Ozzie and they still had a sled full of stars. Instead they have a fire sale. Poor guy doesn't stand a chance...how long before they call for Red's head? Pretty crumby deal if you ask me.

Red is probably wishing he were Texas Red from the Marty Robbins classic "Big Iron". At least for Red Pooch there will be zero expectations this year and fewer fans so he could throw naked BP and few outside the squad would notice.

Not sure what the Marlin owners are up to but I bet its not good for the team or Miami.

They get rid of well over $100 million in salary and get almost nothing in return and they hire Redmond who I'm sure came on the cheap compared to other candidates. All of this after Miami just helped them build a brand new stadium.

why would they call for the managers head? we all know the manager doesn't have much say in wins and losses. If I were the bp coach over there, then I'd definitely be worried.
